Why didn't the fireman who was in the thing with Mercedes not try to help Joe?

We've already had the two deaths so I'm expecting some twist in the second half.

Bit of a design flaw on the ferris wheel if losing the key renders the whole thing a write off, and the only way to get people down is with a cherry picker.

I'm no expert, but wouldn't they have made sure that both Joe and Mercedes were attached to some rope before allowing them to climb out? You know, to stop this exact thing from happening?

Shame that there is no surprise with this stunt, it was obvious that Nico was going and Joe leaving and him dying were both in spoilers.

I was expecting these episodes to be good and the deaths to be effective but they've just left me cold and they've looked very amateurish.

There is still 15 mins to go, so there is still hope.

I thought Nico still might pop up one more time before a final death, we never did see her actually burn crispy like!! She seemed stuck, but you never know, this is Hollyoaks afterall!!

I thought that the ferries wheel was going to collapse with Joe in it which would of made it more dramatic having it fall as he tried to climb out

It's true, don't forget this is the bloke who was kept in a medically induced coma for 6 months by a crazed gangsta, was paralyzed and told he'd never walk again and married a psychotic serial killer.

This is a walk in the park for him, he'll be out of hospital and back in his garage within the week

It's a Soapland. Unless we see the body, everything is possible. It remained me Warren's first exit, "his" body was recovered too. I think nico is still out there.

There's also Kim but she's currently AWOL.

We already knew that Joe was going die and everyone guessed that it was going be the end of Nico, so the lack of suspense has ruined it a bit.
