They ruined his character and the lomax family when he killed the lomax parents

Cameron's story line could have been a very good story line, lots of potential. Someone imprisoned from a young age and trying to rebuild a relationship with his daughter and her mother, before maybe eventually coming to terms with the fact that him and leela just weren't meant to be together and he finds someone new. Lots more in there i'm sure. even him killing the parents and coming to terms with it and panicing knowing what he did could have been good. But no, they decided to turn him into a panto villen "just because"
Tbh at this stage it would be best to axe the character and except he has been ruined. It's rather a shame as i liked the character at the start even though i didn't agree with some of the way he handled things

In complete agreement. I loved his first 18 months as they were treatong him exactly as you outlined above. He had many, many flaws but was relateabke and sympathetic due to his circumstances and history. Even though his love for Leela was more pbsessive and therefore dangerous right from the start, you could understsnd hiw 14 years brooding in Prison had caused that. In fact, I think he was fairly well adjusted given that long a sentence, half his life, he could have been completely institutionalized after that long. His love for Peri seemed genuine, he wanted to make a honest living and got on with most people. He did show guilt and remorse about Sam and Danny and finalky seemed to reach an epiphany and accept responsibility for hus guilt and that he deserved punishment. There was something veey karmic and redemptive that it should happen as he'd found healthy, reciprocal love and his grad daughter was born. Sad as I was to see him go, it was a satisfyingly character arc.

Then they screwed it all ip for no good reason last xmas.

Absolutely and it is ridiculous they changed him. It's not as if they didn't have enough nasty individuals in the show as it was to need another one. They gained nothing from it (unless ruining another character is something that was felt to be a gain)
