Generally I make a large batch of meat sauce to freeze in portions and I always put in a jar of roasted red peppers. Too late I realised that the peppers had not been stored in oil, but vinegar, resulting in a very strange tasting sauce.

Is there any way I can save my sauce?

Try mixing small amounts of baking soda to the sauce, a pinch bit at a time, stirring then tasting as you go along.

Never have honey in the house, but based on your suggestion, drop by drop of maple syrup did the trick, so thanks. But stop calling me honey
