Titanfall 2
I couldn't see a tread on this game so I thought I would start one.
Has anyone bought the game and what are your thoughts? |

i thought it strange one hadn't been created.
Bought on release day. Finished the campaign last night, thoroughly enjoyable game! Better than i expected it to be (hadn't played the first one). Want to try multiplayer at one point soon, just don't have a ps plus subscription at the moment |

To be honest I'm tempted after reading some reviews of the campaign and seeing some footage of it in action - it does look good, and I wasn't expecting it to have a excellent single player mode - but I don't play online these days, and it's a lot of money to pay for a pretty short single player campaign, however good it is. Maybe when it's cheaper I'll pick up a copy.

I like the look of it, commercially though I think it might be hindered in such a oversaturated market of online shooters, what with Overwatch, BF1, and the imminent COD: Infinite warfare/COD 4 remaster vying for peoples attention

i rarely pick up games on release these days, but fancied playing an online shooter (when i eventually renew plus) and don't have many games lest in my library.
If you wouldn't have much interest in the online aspect, i'd say wait for a drop in price. Not to say the campaign wasn't good, in fact its prob my fav FPS campaign on next gen consoles, but it isn't overly long, prob 8 hours max, as such £40 is a lot for just 8 hours worth of gameplay |

Not surprisingly, sales have been pretty terrible. I reckon you'll be able to pick this up real cheap in a few weeks.
Out of the COD, BF1 and TItanfall 2 betas, this is actually my favourite. |

Was planning to buy it until I played the BETA which totally put me off as I just hated the way it felt/played especially when compared to the original (A game that i really enjoyed).
http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2174562 I gather they have made changes to make the final game feel & play more like the original game but i just don't have the disposable income to buy more than 1 game right now & that 1 game is Battlefield 1 as not only did I really enjoy the BETA but it also looks far more interesting than the other 2. So Titanfall 2 is relegated to my 'when its on sale' list. |

I want to get it but I'm holding out to see if it appears in any Black Friday sales, it hasn't sold that well apparently so I've got a feeling it might.

I don't know anyone who has bought this, probably because those of my friends who had the first one (me included) absolutely hated it. Is this one any different?

I will get this in the New Year when the price drops and I have a bit more time on my hands. Really enjoyed the pre-alpha and overall has positive reviews.
Infinite Warfare is just a poor copy of TF. |

I've been e-mailed a code from Sony offering a 43% discount on Titanfall 2 on PSN, I'm tempted but I'd want to trade it in when I'm done with it so I'm not sure whether to go for it or not.

Like it'd still cost me €37ish if I was to buy it with the discount. Meh !!!! |

I just got this code too. What a strange percentage amount. It's a great discount on a new game but unsure if I'd play it much. Shooters aren't really my thing and it'll be down to a tenner in a few months anyway.

Yeah after thinking about it I think I'd rather wait until retail copies pop up in sales or something, which I don't think will be long. Anyway it's £54.99 on PSN, so even with the discount it's not much less than you can pick it up on disc now from some places - it's currently £41.85 at ShopTo for example - and it will have sell or trade in value. |
