I couldn't see a tread on this game so I thought I would start one.

Has anyone bought the game and what are your thoughts?

i thought it strange one hadn't been created.

Bought on release day. Finished the campaign last night, thoroughly enjoyable game! Better than i expected it to be (hadn't played the first one).

Want to try multiplayer at one point soon, just don't have a ps plus subscription at the moment

To be honest I'm tempted after reading some reviews of the campaign and seeing some footage of it in action - it does look good, and I wasn't expecting it to have a excellent single player mode - but I don't play online these days, and it's a lot of money to pay for a pretty short single player campaign, however good it is. Maybe when it's cheaper I'll pick up a copy.

I like the look of it, commercially though I think it might be hindered in such a oversaturated market of online shooters, what with Overwatch, BF1, and the imminent COD: Infinite warfare/COD 4 remaster vying for peoples attention

i rarely pick up games on release these days, but fancied playing an online shooter (when i eventually renew plus) and don't have many games lest in my library.

If you wouldn't have much interest in the online aspect, i'd say wait for a drop in price.
Not to say the campaign wasn't good, in fact its prob my fav FPS campaign on next gen consoles, but it isn't overly long, prob 8 hours max, as such £40 is a lot for just 8 hours worth of gameplay

Not surprisingly, sales have been pretty terrible. I reckon you'll be able to pick this up real cheap in a few weeks.

Out of the COD, BF1 and TItanfall 2 betas, this is actually my favourite.

This is what I was thinking might happen. I really like the look of the online side of things and I'm pretty tired of the COD games now..

I'm not that bothered about the single player in a game like this. I'm just looking for a decent online shooter to pick up and play.

Yeah it's a shame really after producing such a good single player and Respawn's admirable stance that it wont have a season pass as they believe all content should be there from the start. Releasing it sandwiched between the latest Battlefield and COD games was throwing it under the bus a bit though.

Was planning to buy it until I played the BETA which totally put me off as I just hated the way it felt/played especially when compared to the original (A game that i really enjoyed).
http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2174562

I gather they have made changes to make the final game feel & play more like the original game but i just don't have the disposable income to buy more than 1 game right now & that 1 game is Battlefield 1 as not only did I really enjoy the BETA but it also looks far more interesting than the other 2.

So Titanfall 2 is relegated to my 'when its on sale' list.

I want to get it but I'm holding out to see if it appears in any Black Friday sales, it hasn't sold that well apparently so I've got a feeling it might.

I don't know anyone who has bought this, probably because those of my friends who had the first one (me included) absolutely hated it. Is this one any different?

I've only played the first part of the campaign so far, but it's proving to be good so far. Really interesting too, with platforming elements raising this above the standard FPS bolt-on fayre

I will get this in the New Year when the price drops and I have a bit more time on my hands. Really enjoyed the pre-alpha and overall has positive reviews.

Infinite Warfare is just a poor copy of TF.

I've been e-mailed a code from Sony offering a 43% discount on Titanfall 2 on PSN, I'm tempted but I'd want to trade it in when I'm done with it so I'm not sure whether to go for it or not.

I just got this code too. What a strange percentage amount. It's a great discount on a new game but unsure if I'd play it much. Shooters aren't really my thing and it'll be down to a tenner in a few months anyway.

Like it'd still cost me €37ish if I was to buy it with the discount. Meh !!!!

Yeah after thinking about it I think I'd rather wait until retail copies pop up in sales or something, which I don't think will be long. Anyway it's £54.99 on PSN, so even with the discount it's not much less than you can pick it up on disc now from some places - it's currently £41.85 at ShopTo for example - and it will have sell or trade in value.

It was reported by Eurogamer yesterday, and it has been confirmed by HMV it will be discounted on Friday but not the actual price. However as you'll see in the link promotional material suggests it is £19.99.
