I am still on the bus fluffy bus, but I can't say that I am not mat at what happened tonight.

Totally unecessary. *sigh*

Anyway, welcome to the newbie.

We need to take a deep breathe and hopefully it was the last we seen of s*** for a long time.

Yep, even though I'm really annoyed at the moment I'm still on that fluffy bus and am hoping that the week beginning 28 November pulls it right back I mean I went from thinking that he was a prat when he first came back into Emmerdale, to liking him, to disliking him again when he was so awful to Aaron in the scrapyard then back to liking him again since January and now I'm just disappointed in what's happened tonight I still have faith though but need a cocktail or two of Gin, Tonic and Elderflower on that fluffy bus

I'm going to guess that Aaron is still extremely angry with Robert and the buying a house card is a way for Robert to get back in Aaron's good books.

You couldnt make it up lol”

Given how social media exploded over this, I'd say the writers and producers got the reaction they were after.

And they know people's eyes will be glued to their tvs to see how this plays out and resolves.

Robron was based on Aaron being Roberts soulmate, the one he was finally devoted to, it was based on him telling him nobody comes close, he wouldn't want anyone else, he was enough. Robron as we knew it was based on those beliefs, the engagement was based on those promises and things being true and Robert being in that place...........but they aren't true are they? We have just witnessed the fact it isn't true.

Yep. I agree with all this

None of tonight's episode made sense! Robert's being going on about how nobody else comes close.. he won't cheat.. he's changed etc also he saved Aaron's life, was so terrified about losing him, he proposed to him so they could be together forever then HE KISSES HER BACK???!! What?!! I can't blame Rebecca for this, it's Robert's fault! Also, since when has this ever been about getting HF?! I felt like I was watching an episode from last year!

Thinking positively I guess there is a chance Robert is being really clever and playing Rebecca and also she screws him over in the end, serves him right!

I'm not jumping ship, I never would, but tonight is the first time I've ever had doubts about Robron. I never questioned anything about the lodge or the scrapyard rant, I understood what was happening in those scenes but I don't have a clue what Robert was thinking in tonight's episode!

i doubt for a second it is the case but wouldn’t it be cool if this whole r*becca kiss thing was a plan cooked up between robert and aaron and that’s why when r*bcca tells aaron about the next day robert is buying them a house oh well one can hope right

Although I have noticed that the Emmerdale twitter, youtube and instagram feeds have been very quiet post episode ....”

welcome AJ vep sure a strange night to join but you'll see we'll have calmed down by tomorrow cos its all going to be grand in the end

The only thing I can feel positive about is the episode is over. It was total rubbish but now that this episode is gone, we can move on for beautiful future #robron scenes.

I am in too deep. I will never leave the ship. EVER. I will go down with it.

Spot on
Love this bit
"1) that was quite possibly the worst decision Emmerdale ever made (and I’ve made peace with Val’s death, my queen), written by a writer who has clearly not watched the show since early 2015 and who wrote it high on mushrooms with his head in a blender "

Well that was rubbish wasn't it ? Really did not like seeing that at all and as for Robert saying now isn't the time ! I don't really know what to think.I don't know what we are meant to assume Robert's feelings were for Rebecca in the past and also what they are now.It is a bit like the Chrissie thing where we asked for a long time did Robert really love her or not.Now we are wondering what he feels fog Rebecca and what he did back then.I am confused now.I thought I had it clear but now I don't lol. Also I am not sure if this is all part of Robert's plan, but it's going wrong and going too far.Who knows ? What I do know is,it's rubbish timing and in my opinion, not necessary.Right on the back of all Robert's heartfelt words and actions in SSW and they even discussed it with Aaron asking what if a woman comes along who comes close, and Robert saying nothing would happen because they're together. Now they're saying to remember no one else comes close but then really why did they even have to go there just now ? I think it's awful timing

I love how you think

The problem with it, is I don't think that ED are smart enough to have thought about this kind of twist lol

I don't think Stuart should get the blame here guys. He writes what he's told to write. Every major plot point in that ep would have been imposed on him, and these scripts have to be checked and edited or changed by various other people. It isn't down to his individual bad writing, it's not his fault, this is the storyline, this is what was supposed to happen, this is what they wanted to show us. It's clutching at straws for anyone to write it off on the basis on who happened to write the episode.

I know pretty much everybody is disappointed/angry/outraged with tonight (I'll get to that in a mo).

I'm probably in the (very few) minority who thinks for some strange reason, all of this OOC stuff from Robert tonight was him playing/manipulating Rebecca & hence the reason she tells Aaron.

Holding her hand, not pushing back from the kiss straight away, "Now's not the time", saying it's only Home Farm & not Andy. All this points to is this leading to Rebecca thinking "He feels the same. He does want me, he does still have feelings for me, he does love me." The comments about her being a great person, them making a great team. She'll think that he's thought things through following kiss attempt no.1 a few weeks back. Diane overhearing the "only Home Farm" thing.

I don't know. I just think Robert thinks that nothing's happening whatsoever, no matter what Diane/whoever does & he's now going to take it into his own hands, but as we know, even he's getting overwhelmed with things.

HOWEVER, I do agree with a lot of things that's got many outraged. Firstly, Stuart Blackburn. Back at ED & writing. Well we know how he likes to c*ck things up. Not just Robecca stuff, but the whole of tonight's episode. What a load of tosh.

Secondly, I also agree regarding bisexual representation. What is it with this idea that just because someone is bi, they have to get them tempted/possibly (we'll see if this really was part of Rob's elaborate idea which has suddenly just come about or not) cheating? It's disgusting really. If this isn't a plan by Rob, then SSW & Rob's redemption over the last year has been destroyed in one episode.

Again, I don't know. We'll see if this is Rob's plan or not. That for me is the only reason I can think of why Rebecca turns on him.

And as regards to Aaron finding out. If Rob's looking to buy Mill Cottage the day after Aaron finds out about the kiss, then he either tells Aaron the full truth AFTER Rebecca says something (which, right now, is the only thing which would provide a saving grace e.g. it was part of the plan) or it's a suck up present. Mind you, even if Rob does tell Aaron the full truth, saying it was part of a plan, I still can't fathom how Aaron can 100% fully trust him?

Well, that's me plucking into thin air how to keep positive right now.
