If this was all part of a plan though why at the pub? Of all places? Aaron had just already basically said he was suspicious and wanted him to stay away from Rebecca...if there was some plan to get cosy with here for whatever reason come on it's not going to be planned for there, anyone could walk in, as they did, and obviously as i said is just completely inappropriate.

I think it's just easy to lay the blame at Stuart;s door because of the mess he made of ED when he was in charge.....

It's all Iain's fault.

It could be. I dont know, I just want to believe that it has to be an explanation.

I bet Twitter is on fire tonight!!!

Agree. Nothing makes sense anymore.

Theory going around about Aaron knowing all along about "Robert's plan" (if it is one).

Only problem with that is: why would Aaron be angry with Rob regarding Rebecca if it's just the two of them there (granted, they were at David's shop, public place & all that, but hmmm...)? Unless ED are showing that to make you think Aaron doesn't know? Don't really see it, especially considering Rob's not been seen with Aaron for yonks.

I suppose if it is a plan by Robert, another thing which could get Rebecca's hopes up is that Robert doesn't care where he's seen with her (his home with Aaron). But again, doesn't really make sense considering he did seem to look around (again, though could all be an act on his behalf).

Considering the tosh ED have been putting out recently, this turning out to be a plan by Robert all along actually wouldn't be all that surprising.

could it be this?...

though making robert drink prior to the kiss points to it being a mitigating factor in his ermmm lapse of judgment

TBH if it was the case, wherever it happened there would have always been that risk of getting caught.... It'd just be quite interesting... You know what ED are like having quite significant scenes off-screen... I don't know, it's not likely to happen but it was an interesting theory.

I understand the need for people to try and find an explanation or reason to have some hope but i honestly think all these theories are clutching at straws and are going to end in disappointment. I'll be very happy to be wrong, but honestly i just think this is a plain a simple sh11ty situation.

What happens in tomorrows ep? Cus i remember Aaron isn't mentioned but are we seriously going to not see any scenes between them after that? Robert just worried over what Diane heard him say about Andy (or rather not say about him). Not the fact he just kissed someone who wasn't his fiance?

If Robert isn't ashamed and shocked at himself tomorrow there will be hell to pay.

I do wonder when Ryan said in the interview that he'd rather not comment on whether Robert will stay faithful.Im not sure whether they meant in the short term regarding Rebecca,or in the long term.I was a bit surprised he answered as he did though. It may be that he's been told not to say much to keep us on our toes more etc,or there could be more to it.He said he didn't want to close any doors on the storyline in the future which to me hinted that they could be planning something

It makes me sad how people who are bisexual are being portrayed and some people who watch the show are going to believe it's because he's bisexual. I've already seen some people on facebook saying robert kissed her back because he's bisexual and how you can't trust us
No, if you cheat it's not being you're bisexual it's because you're a cheater.
I'm trying to be positive about all of this but with how the episode went, I don't believe there is much to be positive with. Hopefully by tomorrow I can be positive about this but I can't see how.

The more I think about it, the more I think ED are messing with us.

They know how passionate people are about Robron, coupled with the huge effort the show has put in to demonstrate how Aaron is the only one for Robert, they would be extremely unlikely to throw that all away so soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is some huge way in which Robert redeems himself (to me, him telling Aaron would be a huge sign of Robert's character growth), or as people have suggested it's all part of a grand super duper master plan, which has fooled even us!

I can't believe that after finding out about the kiss that the wedding wouldn't at least be delayed, or even the engagement called off. The only reason Aaron agreed to marry Robert was because of all those things he said and promises he made, which Aaron will find out he went against and weren't true...so how is it a tenable engagement still?! Aaron isn't a trusting bloke at the best of times, you can't imagine him just carrying on as normal after this

But no, you;d assume they are still engaged and planning on moving into their own home!

When you put it like that i can see how these theories come about but still can't sign up to them myself.

With Danny tweeting about twists and turns I am willing to believe that it is all part of Robert's plan and Aaron is in on it. Possibly blind hope but better than no hope at all.

I still think it was shoddy writing and I'm glad fans have made their feelings known via social media, to have Danny and Maxine trying to calm fans it was intense and even got #Robron trending, Emmerdale's twitter must be clogged with complaints.

I think they were perhaps having Robert debating how far he could/should go to play along with Rebecca to get what he wants. Keeping it all a bit ambiguous. But why have him turn down HF & Rebecca weeks ago have him propose to Aaron all the glorious goodness of SSW, what has changed from his POV. They need to reiterate Robert's feelings for Rebecca if is he using her or are there something more there because now they've blurred the lines.

Rebecca trying to integrate herself in with Diane & Doug was sickening she's acting like a love sick teenager following her crush all over the place, loved Diane's telling her what she thought of her & her family until she run to Robert and what followed.

To think Robert was prepared to die with Aaron & proved the strength of his love 'no one else comes close' where did being desperate to have HF suddenly come from 2015! I know he mentioned it when he said 'I've got a wedding to pay for' the week before SSW but he even defied Aaron with his not staying away from her by allowing her to drink with her in Aaron's home of all places! What happened to 'I just want to be myself now with you?' none of this adds up !

But sticking with this and hoping Emmerdale right there wrongs and explain the plot holes they just created. I felt we'd got past all this now, if they were going to go down this route they should of done this before the engagement not directly after and so undermining it.
