Unfortunately we're changing our clocks tomorrow night.

So the five hours difference will reappear.

Good night to you also and to everybody here.

Is he still attracted to Rebecca etc? Because the general viewership aren't so invested in the characters or their relationship so these questions won't lead to feline birthings in their case. So in order to give those questions some level of credence there has to be a level of ambiguity in how things are played. Which is why I did think that, after Holly's funeral, when Bex said that line about Robert making his bed and walked out he did look (to me) like he was checking her out because that is what the general viewership were meant to believe was possible. (Not sure if this makes total sense but hope you get the gist of what I mean)

Actually I've been quite surprised about how quickly some of the secrets have been revealed recently but do think this one is likely to be a slow burner.

This made me (especially because if its a consequence of what I said on here [which I think it might be] it wasn't what I meant at all )

And can I add one more member to the welcoming committee for Jayne
”

I agree. Ryan is totally professional and I am sure he is doing what has been requested of him, and just because we all love Robert and Aaron (or at least one of them in a few cases!), you have to remember there are viewers who much prefer to see slimy Rakesh or snide Ross, so we have to be charitable

John Middleton is playing Ashley exceptionally well, and it is a sad, bitter story. Old woman "Doug" got my Lisa-Belle Award For Most Irritating Character last night.

I just thought there was one bad mistake: Adam made it clear to Moira that he considered his real dad to have been John, yet it was he - not Ross, Pete or Finn who was given the line to Ashley about "ruining my dads funeral" - even though Ross gave him daggers for it.

Can I just say,as some have expressed sympathy and support for Emma a jealous and vindictive woman, that I still have some slight sympathy for Chrissie, who I don't feel is quite as bad as Emma.

Also, might I suggest to Moira that in November in Yorkshire, she might do better to wear a thermal vest rather than display her assets?

The 21st century and we are still manually fiddling about with clocks - and next week that young brave new world will be voting for two deeply flawed old age pensioners to ru(i)n their country for 4 years

A little bit political there, as Ben Elton used to say.

The burial scene picked up all the points that had been previewed during crash week, but they had Aaron and Robert hold hands at a different line. In the reveal it was when Harriet said, 'Show the depths of your love,' but here it was when she said, 'I will dwell in the house of the lord forever.'

Apparently you can have one or two units of alcohol shortly after leaving hospital even after major surgery. Aaron's been home for two weeks so it'll be fine for him to have a couple of pints now.”

Very true!

I'm not the only one to notice tonight....i see a lot on Tumblr are saying a similar thing...

It needs to be more business like, at least from Robert. IMO.”

Well, Andy - don't tell us. Write to Mr. Hawley and tell him how it should be done. As for the "social media" crowd, they are, in the main, vacuous people with far too much time on their hands (do they ever find time to work?). they should try working a 17 hour day as I did yesterday and they would'nt have the time or energy to tweet their thoughts all day long.

Sorry to be harsh, but if RH wasn't giving the performance requested of him, he would either be sacked or have his scenes rerecorded. I just don't think you like "Robert" all that much?.

I didn't even mean that really, although I'm sure there are people who prefer Ross or Rakesh to Robert or Aaron. I wasn't thinking about people who are neutral or possibly even dislike our boys I was trying to say that for the majority of viewers there has to be something to go on for the questions (I'm presuming) they're meant to have about Robert/Rebecca - so Ryan (who I agree always appears to be a consumate professional) has to (as I'm sure he's instructed to) play it a bit ambiguously (from our point of view), Not sure I've explained it any better now but at least I tried (and God loves a trier!!)

And I did think the Adam thing was odd (although I suppose there has to be some reason to explain Ross's dislike of Adam) and thinking about it after I didn't really like it because it seemed like such an un-Adam thing to say. He's usually so nice and sympathetic and I can't really see him (even if he was grief-stricken!) saying anything so un-understanding of Ashley and his condition, if he was in character.

Oh no, no worries - I'm always happy to be an inspiration! (and here is my embarrasing confession of the day - until I saw an interview with the lady who plays Karen in 'Cold Feet' who's real name is Hermione, I thought it was pronounced Herm (to rhyme with perm) - ee - own and that was how I'd been reading it [in my head] when I was reading the HP books)!!!

bib1: I'm sure that's true and he's playing Robert who finds both sexes attractive. He might sometimes check out at a fit lad but that doesn't mean anything at all. Robron are comfortable and sorted and in real life they would probably both occasionally see someone good looking and have a joke between then although not much chance of it happening in the village but actually I hope they don't show that cos I think the general audience might misunderstand. Robert said he only wants Aaron ... and I believe him

bib2: agree with the cold bit but anyway is that really the sort of thing to go to a funeral in specially in the circumstances when his wife is going to be there and erm fully dressed

I thought Moira deserved the slap yesterday if for no other reason than going to an ex lovers funeral dressed like that.

Ashley's SL is due to conclude in time for Next Years awards. I expect John will get some but this is a SL which is going to be extremely upsetting to watch. And for how Emma treated him I hope ED give her a painful termination to the role. That wasn't the actions of a mad / crazy person but of an evil human being. What Chrissie did to Andy was wrong but nothing compared to Emma.

I prefer watching the Whites to Lisa/Zac/Joanie/ Belle Dingles. If the Whites are on screen there is more chance of seeing Rob and Aaron.

I still think Frank is nice to look at but he needs a better SL than father of 2 women with an eye for the ladies as isn't that Rodney's role. Feel that Rodney, Pearl , Eric Sandy Brenda and Bob have been 'retired' on ED as hardly ever seen this year. Wish that the Dingles mentioned above could at least take their turn of vanishing.

I found nothing wrong with Moira's dress. I guess as a rather busty person myself, I understand the struggle of trying to wear a top that's flattering and smart-looking but it unintentionally veers into sexy where as on less endowed individuals, it would look acceptable. (Like, please don't get me started on the horrors of button ups and even some jumpers.) Either way, I fully endorse Moira's lovely cleavage in any situation.

What I found reprehensible was the smack Emma gave her. Moira should've knocked her block off.

Just thinking ahead. Can you actually imagine the fandom when we get wedding spoilers? And even more so, can you imagine the fandom when its the wedding ep? People will be fainting.

I agree. Nothing wrong with her outfit at all. It was definitely Emma's slap that was way out of order. Don't understand why another character didn't step in at that point.

Oh, and as a double D myself, I feel your pain on button ups.

Pete made a half-hearted attempt but Emma's got everyone wrapped around her psychotic little finger.

It's the worst, right?

It'll all add to the sense of betrayal and guilt at not realising the truth sooner when it all comes out with the Ashley video, whenever that will be.

My feeling is that Rebecca's projector might come into play for it. I think it could be that she lends it out for an event in the village and the memory card for the camera will get mixed with whatever's meant to be played and all will be revealed in front of everyone on a big screen in the community hall.

Two new info from someone who went on Emmerdale's Village tour a couple of days ago.

Quote:
“Apparently they are currently 8-10 weeks ahead of filming and one of the blocks they are working on is the Christmas Day/Boxing Day one.

He took us down to the humpback bridge or “the bridge of tears” and talked a bit about how Danny Miller is the best crier on TV and said Aaron’s tears are going to stay dry for a while but it’s a soap so they will fall again at some point.
