Hopefully this will set up a sister feud over Ross and it all moves on from her being involved with Robron.

Today's episode was superb; what a brilliant idea to use the similar-but-not-quite-right actors to play the parts of the usual characters. It really gave a sense of the world that a confused person might inhabit, and it's an effect that only a soap could do properly, capitalising on our years of familiarity with the characters and actors. It couldn't be done effectively in a feature film. I'm really impressed. And a bonus: they used it to underline what an empathetic and good person Aaron is...
I see Bex as quirky and interesting and Chrissie as a snob who just sneers down her nose everyone. Each to their own I suppose.

Lucie won't be speaking to me anymore
Awww don't say that. I will speak to you forever. You have the right to like her,

With Becky in the show, my bitter side is permanently there. lol

I must say, it is getting quite tiresome to have every new spoiler featuring Robron also including Rebecca, Chrissie or both.

What's this Chas\Bex thing all about? Aaron will need a restraining order at this rate. Will it ever come to an end?! Let's have them involved in their own stories and let's hope this Ross\Rebecca thing allows that to happen.

If they still need Robert to keep this family revelent then it's high time to get rid. Robert especially needs to be removed from them and given storylines in his own right as well as Robron\Aaron's. And I sincerely hope they are not anywhere near the wedding either.

I get the impression Ross and Bex will be a one off ( although I'm often wrong) it's the term "uses Ross" like she wants a distraction from the real object of her affections. Also Debbie is back on screen in January and Ross has been filming with her and charity and Cain.

I think the Bex will be in his orbit, pining for him untill the wedding when they will finally move her on. I don't think anything will happen between them but I get the feeling she will be continue to be used as a plot device to show Robert only wants Aaron.

I totally agree with you. This story is repetitive and tiresome.

I think her disappointment that week is Lachlan related.

Im just so tired of the Whites being involved in Robron. Especially Robert.

I still don't understand why Cain is getting involved with Chrissie/Lachlan.

I mean even going so far as to see him in Prison. I just don't get it.

| also thought it was interesting that Ashley was happy to go with 'Aaron' but was scared of 'Doug' who he actually knows far better. I suspect that's to help make the Aaron/Laurel conversation make more sense but also wonder if it's because Aaron is (or can be) a very quiet, gentle person where as Doug tends to be loud and quite abrasive.

It really was very cleverly done and with regard to all the props someone else mentioned being so good, and following on from our conversation (?at the weekend) about potentially selling Liv's monkey picture for charity, have to say there'd be a wealth of things from tonight's episode that they could auction off to raise money for Alzheimer's UK.............

ETA: And even though I haven't read it yet can almost guarantee that they'll be at least one person on the daily thread wishing that each of the characters in today's episode were indeed played by the 'similar-but-not-quite-right' actors instead of the actual ones . Just off now to check - I'll let you all know

So apparently I'd already asked Kirsten about Robert's money a few weeks ago and she told me there were 2 things that gave her the impression he had his money, one was Aaron's birthday the other is something else that doesn't seem apparent yet. Could be in week 3 maybe.

Tonight's Emmerdale made me sob my heart out. My heart goes out to everyone who has to watch someone they love going through that.

The acting and writing was totally flawless, wasn't it. That ending was so sad, but it was so touching when Laurel was telling Ashley it was her he wanted to tell his mum about all those years ago. I remember seeing bits of their story when they first got together and over the years but I never knew the part about him going after her to Finland. Wish I could find that to watch it somewhere.

Amazing episode tonight, a very clever and well thought through way of showing such a dreadful disease, it really showed the complete confusion and distress it causes not just to the family but the sufferer as well which is rarely shown for fear of misinterpreting it.

My father suffer from the disease and one thing that hit me tonight was Ashley's trouble with getting in to the church, steps and doors are big issues for dementia suffers it took me 20 minutes to get my Dad into and out of a restaurant he just didn't want to go through the door.

I loved how different actors played known characters but we got fleeting glances of the real person, superb ... I am also looking forward to Aaron/Laurel chat tomorrow,
