You know it's funny seeing ED praised for doing Ashley's story so well but I remember the crap way they've treated stories like Robert's bisexuality or Kerry's diabetes. It's a shame they don't make sure they've done those right but use them for cheap twists instead.

Gosh some people are so predictable (and I'm not sure if I''m pleased or depressed that I was right)

but on a far more positive (and absolutely ) note there was almost* universal praise for tonight's episode on there too

* except for the one person who was complaining about the 'continuity errors', who I'm assuming (like some people on Twitter - brilliantly called twa*ters by someone on said daily ) had totally missed the point!

Even better Aaron was at the bank about the Mill apparently so that's why he was in a suit, note Robert wasn't there.....way to include him.

Let's be honest who hasn't done it in the pub toilets? I gurantee Aaron and Robert have many a time. I know Bex is an annoying, unlikeable character but no need for shaming her for this.

Curious why you say it's been crap. I know they ignored it for a year and half but since SSW i thought it's been done well

Still thinking about tonight's episode-it was so very well done ! Maxine really is talented and John was superb.Heartbreaking and very powerful. It just shows that sometimes when we get these episodes dedicated to a character and their story, how good they can be at it.There are some very good actors in soaps but not all get great stories,or many stories, and so they don't get a chance to shine. When they get that chance, they can really show what they're capable of,and I love to see this. That is my favourite episode since the Robron episode

Well like you said it took them a year and a half to even address it, then when they did it was a couple of scenes which were very well acted hence disguised somewhat the ignorant way it had been handled previously (calling him gay over and over). THEN we had the whole kiss farce which led to FB abuse with bisexuals getting bitched about so no I don't think it's been handled well at all.

This type of cheap twist wouldn't have ever been dreamt up for Ashley's dementia.

They wrecked David's cancer story too with rubbish and made it about his wedding to Tracy when if they'd left it as a sensitive cancer story it would have been much better.

Kerry's diabetes as i mentioned is an utter farce, anyone who drinks like she does with diabetes would have been hospitalised.

They got Holly's drug stuff right but they get more wrong.

Wasn't meant to be shaming of her at all - was actually thinking of that as (one of) Aaron and Robert's place(s) actually (although now I'm thinking about it is just a trifle icky)
And i really don't think Bex is inherently unlikeable - annoying (at the moment) I'll give you, but I actually think (and shhhh don't tell Lucie this ) that there is definitely some potential there for her to develop into a nice character

I think i just got frustrated cause i have seen people on other social media call her a bike and slut shaming. I mean ugh she hasn't even slept with anyone on the show yet.

I'm torn with Rebecca i also see potential and i do want Robert to have friends, their dynamic could be good BUT i also want Robert as far away from the Whites. The writers seem to be undecided on how to write her specifically...she's helping robert, she's against robert, she's helping aaron and if spoilers are true she could be back to being against them in Jan. Her loyalties and motivations are non-existent!

Anyway i think this thread talks far too much about her so i don't wanna contribute anymore. Lets talk about what Aaron and Robert get up to in the pub toilets

I want Robert to have friends too but I think it could be difficult with Rebecca and I don't actually think it would be good for her either.

I think it would be very difficult to be friends with someone that you are in love with and who doesn't feel the same about you.

She is Maybe no a s*** but She is definitely pathetic and one dimensional. She doesn't have any moral and doesn't care if She split up a couple. As long as She gets what She wants. . I would never root for a character like her. She gives women a very bad name.
She doesn't bring anything at all like Frank. Totally useless. I really think that They should have done angst with Robron without bringing This witch that the first Time She met Robert went after him and didn't stop even knowing that he wasn't available. I Just can't it reminds me too much of a certain woman that i knew back Then. Ugh, She made people's Life miserable. Just like her.

Bottom line i totally hate her.
Anyway to each his own

Exes can be friends but like you say not when one still has feelings for the other.

I think Rebecca might eventually grow bitter and resentful, question is would she make it known to Robert or would she keep it hidden and plot to cause trouble.

Certainly not BFF's but i don't see why they couldn't be friendly. Like they said in last Thursdays ep, they need to get reacquainted on different terms.

I can't see ED dragging out the Rebecca still has feelings for Robert arc. It seemed to me they drew a line in the sand on this last week. I can only hope anyway.

I think they drew a line under her throwing herself at him but you don't choose when to feel something or not. You can have the best of intentions like trying to be friends with someone and hoping you can live with unrequited love but something usually has to give IMO.

It was extremely well done. Am I allowed to say that I think "fake Aaron" was even ore attractive than the "real" Aaron? (no beard or stubble). I hope they kept the actors details in case DM ever decides to leave

I think this is so. "Aaron" was far more understanding and patient, whereas "Doug" used words that, to a vulnerable person, would sound threatening, even though the reverse was meant "don't you dare move". "stay right where you are, I am coming back for you"

Soap writers seem to enjoy setting scenes in public lavatories. It just surprises me that they have never thought of having Ross and Lachlan peering in the windows of the womens lavatories, as the ratbag voyeurs they are, or perhaps even dirty old man Zac

I think this a bit harsh....

We wouldn't even know the bank thing if it wasnt for the writer saying that on Twitter, it wasn't mentioned in the show and was simply a reason to have Aaron in town. It was an Ashley episode, not about Robron and their living situation or relationship.

Besides, its Aaron's money (or Livs) he's got to sort out for the house, so it doesn't seem that odd Robert wasn't there, does it?

Looking forward to tonight's ep with Aaron and laurel. See, I love it when they show off what a big heart he has and how compassionate and caring he can be. I loved yesterdays part Aaron had as it really showed that off.

I love to see it. He's such a sweetheart underneath that scowl (that's usually more of a smile nowadays!)

I'm intrigued about Friday 6th. We know they are both in that ep..and it's the day after Aaron's birthday surprise (and Chrissies comments)....but as far as i know we haven't had any spoilers or hints for that ep yet.
