Yeah it just felt a bit "oh lets put these 2 together to talk as they've been through a tragic situation". Like you say it felt odd to see Aaron open up to someone he's known for years but doesn't really 'know' and yet he's going to be continuing to be jealous and is bottling that up....so on one hand we have him maturing and progressing by being open and then him being as normal in other weeks where he's hiding his feelings.
I love Charlotte and think she is so underrated and long overdue an award but tonight wasn't justice to her or Danny.

I hope he is never mentioned again tbh. I understand he is an important part of aarons past but i literally stopped watching emmerdale cause of the relentlessness of that storyline. Plus the message it sent to disabled people made me feel icky.

I get what you mean but I didn't think it was that strange as Aaron is really the only person who can understand what Laurel is going through.
It makes sense that she would ask him about Jackson and how he dealt with it.

No. Sam watched his wife Alice deteriorate from cancer, I think Sam could definitely understand Laurel more than Aaron who lets face it didn't know Jackson all that well when he had his accident and Jackson never got progressively worse, he just didn't get better. Alice got worse, Ashley is getting worse.

I didn't mind the mention tonight as it wasn't as though Aaron was sad and miserable about it, he actually seemed quite happy probably because he is happy now. It was just the forced nature of it and how it came about.
That's true unfortunately. I'm hoping we get some stuff pre wedding though about his feelings.

I couldn't see Aaron normally opening up about Jackson without some serious prodding, but I actually thought it made sense here since he'd witnessed some of what Laurel goes through with Ashley and so was already predisposed to be be sympathetic/empathetic with her and also has some experience of being a carer in a largely hopeless situation.

There was nothing really wrong with it, it just didn't live up to the scene I had imagined it would be. I thought they would be alone somewhere and it would be a landmark moment in Aaron's development. But really the story at the moment is Laurel-Ashley and too much soul-baring from Aaron would have detracted from that.

This is Ashley and Laurel's story and so Aaron was only a part of that tonight.He does have an understanding of what it's like to care for someone who isn't going to get better and what that does to you emotionally.All the hopes,dreams etc for a future, shattered,and the way in which that affects a couple is overwhelming.Aaron knows a fair bit about this.And Jackson did deteriorate mentally and emotionally because he became so depressed that he was a different person and that is so difficult to deal with at the same time as trying to still be caring,patient and empathetic

yea I was hoping it would be the blue suit too (I voted for that
) but he looks good in any suit so I settled for that result Of course Robs leather jacket would win, doesnt matter what else he wears with it, he always looks so hot in it It always reminds me of their first kiss too
