Kasim was in hospital with some very serious injuries. A punch or being knocked over could have a massive effect on him, far more serious than if a healthy young man was at the receiving end.
It's quite possible that Kasim ends up in another coma and dies or is left brain dead. Aaron is then arrested on his wedding day or something like that.

I really hope it's not that though, otherwise we're back to square one in terms of storyline for Aaron. Possible prison sentence, immense amounts of guilt, which will probably kickstart the self-harming again... It's too repetitive after Jackson & the guilt he felt from thinking he had a hand in killing Katie. It just seems unbelieveable to have it all happen again, but then saying that, ED have been very repetitive in other storylines anyway so a little thing like Aaron's already been through it twice isn't going to stop them.

BIB: And when I think about this it makes me really quite cross - Kasim was in a coma for well over 2 weeks which would indicate a severe brain injury but lo and behold he wakes up and is perfectly OK - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
!!!!!!!!!! As for the Las Vegas thing - I'm sure it can be done in a weekend but rather them than me, not least because I really think it deserves far more than a couple of days!!

I agree. I hope we are totally wrong.
The problem is that they need to set up certain emotional and dark situations in order to have Danny Miller perform in a way that he is particularly good at. They need to keep doing this because Emmerdale needs the publicity and the credibility that comes with Danny winning these awards.
The Emmerdale people are really stuck in the same old groove and are not creative enough or confident enough to come out of it. This is not just happening with Aaron related stories but throughout the soap.
