Dont be upset. Just a difference of opinion it happens. I dont take any offence.

its catch 22 because even if Robert told the truth, that they were celebrating clinching the deal or whatever then he wouldn't like that either. its a tough one and will be heartbreaking. And once Aaron walks in and catches them having drinks, all hell will break loose
Im really looking forward tontheir 'crisis talks' i like when they get stuff off their chests then hopefully we can move on from these types of stories

I wasn't referring to the birthday but to the week 3 lie. sorry, I should have been clearer about that.

Its ridiculous.. & again I was shock at how blunt he was to Aaron about all this time spending he'll be having working & so on with Bex & asking Aaron if that's problem.. I hated his tone with it. I just thought hang on a minute this is your fiance your like laying the law down to about working/overnight staying with your ex as tho how dare there be a problem.. idk it didn't sit well with me. I was half hoping Aaron would say "well actually yeah Robert there is a flaming problem" lol.

I'm not really bothered by any of that stuff in week 3. It's just a plot like this weeks which on paper and some of the dialogue is annoying but the pay off is worth it generally for me. The angst ALWAYS pays off for me maybe because I know it's a soap and you have to take the good moments as you'll always get more negative ones to keep the drama coming, unless of course they're background characters which I'd hate Robron to ever be.

It's an insult to the viewers. The Emmerdale people knew that this might backfire on them but they had to run with it because they had no other ideas. So, the inexperienced new producer decided to take out some insurance and tell us (so very early on), not to worry if we don't like it, just keep on watching and we may get a Robron wedding. ”

I know you are a big fan of Roberts but this analysis of him and this storyline is just not right.

You keep insisting that he has had a personality transplant. How?

Because he is friends with Rebecca after what she did in the pub? Well he has also proven to be very loyal to people he cares about. He obv cares for her as he was very understanding when she tried to blackmail him. He enjoys spending time with her. Maybe he even feels guilty for leading her on.

Or is it because he can't sense that aaron is an emotional wreck atm? This is also not new. Many times in their relationship he has been insensitive to Aaron's feelings. A lot of that was during the affair but also recently during Gordon's trial, they went on a date and he kept talking about Andy & Chrissie. Robert often has this kind of tunnel vision.

I agree there are elements of this story that are plotty. But the same can be said for any storyline and i'm happy to push them aside because of the emotional payoff we get. And i'm sure we will get that with this.

Both Aaron and Robert are making matters worse for themselves. Aaron is not communicating and burying his feeling until he will quite literally explode. Robert is lying cause he doesn't want to cause more drama. Ultimately though the reasons behind both of their actions is because they love eachother

It was so out of character for Robert to do that. This is where a lot of my annoyance is coming from. I'm fed up with Robert being written in a certain way for the convenience of whatever storyline is passing by. Robert's character development, personality, continuity, believability and history is forever being compromised.

I just watched and i need to rewatch it again

Robert was so excited awwww he loves him so much awwwwwwww.

Anyway, i was disappointed to not not have witnessed Chas having a Go at Becky lol

I wish We would see that.

I am Happy that Aaron told Robert about the hug from he!!

Seriously people are blind when They want to be.

I really liked tonight. I Will rewatch and I love angst but without Becky would be better lol

And i don't believe for one second that Robert would want to end things because Duncan said in his last post here that the boys were not breaking up at all. So i am not worried.

Anyway, i had to laugh at Pearl She is totally very funny lol

Pierce enough said

And our beautiful Lachlan playing his mother like the fool She is. What kind of child is that. I hope he stays in prison.

Oh and i need to see the last present that Robert promised Aaron It's only fair Emmerdale. . Anyway We can all say that these two Will get Lucky

Here's a list of what should be happening:

Aaron is honest about his issues
Neither Robert of Aaron should be lying to one another
People should be keeping their noses out and stop stirring

BUT all for plot reasons and this story those things have to happen. There's no point in taking a fine tooth comb to each aspect and finger pointing and blaming.

This is the show that had Rhona get raped and then fool herself into thinking she wasn't....you're not always going to like each aspect.

Me too. Although technically the spoilers were leaked and it's not ED releasing them

I have really enjoyed this weeks eps so far compared to how the spoilers were written.

Exactly. This concerned me more than anything tonight

As far as Robron are concerned, well Robert did say that he didn't want easy, he wanted messed up, forever, with Aaron I really don't mind the angst or drama - yes it can be frustrating at times but this is what they do best and they excel at it. I'm looking forward to seeing how things pan out and I'm certainly looking forward to them getting married at the end of it

I disagree that BIB was plotty. Women who are raped particularly within a marriage or relationship often feel this way.The consent issue is an important one to show. I have even seen comments on FB of people not getting that she was raped.

It was scary but I suspect it happens more than we'd like to think in real life as people don't want to see the person they love as that.

Yep. I'd get bored of them if it was all hearts and flowers. The angst provides fuel for the special romantic moments like we got last night.

I didn't say it was plotty . I was pointing out that the show often does something we wont like to see.

I think my favourite romantic moment from last night was when Robert asked Aaron if he was ready for his final present....upstairs

Naked Rob...What a present . I wonder if he let Aaron unwrap it?

Robs on the bed fully clothed waiting for Aaron to walk in.

Aaron: "Why are you lying there with your clothes on?"

Rob: "I'm waiting for you to unwrap for your final gift" .

I loved seeing the lengths Robert was prepared to go in the birthday episode, there can be no doubt how much he loves Aaron.

As much as I would have liked a White free zone (not likely as they need Robert to prop them up and make them revelent) I really loved how Chrissie showed herself up to be a bitter, vindictive sad cow.

Chas' actions didn't make much sense why didn't she confront Robert herself before stamping on Aaron's happiness especially on his birthday when it was not obvious what they even had seen on the clip.

I didn't like Robert just trying to force Aaron to accept him and Bex working together as if his feelings didn't matter and the subject was closed. I understand his frustration in the lack of trust after all it was all innocent but surely he could see where Aaron's issues with it stem from. Rebecca's recent behaviour should make him consider how he'd have a problem with it. He even stated himself to her they'll soon have to stop sneaking around. It's all rather plotty writing indeed.

Thank you Darren for the new spoilers and pictures, Robert meeting Rebecca in secret after what went down with Aaron today or yesterday as it is now is just asking for trouble, again the whole thing is plot device.

Why Robert would think this is a good idea is baffling Indeed perhaps it's just stubbornness on his part. The relationship crisis talk is a scene I'm looking forward to it not so much the rest of it.

Ultimately I'm not worried long-term by much of this (any agnst will be helpful at this time for Danny's NTA bid) and everything IM had had to say pointed to this making them stronger by it's end with Robert determined to marry him more than ever and he looks to be fighting Aaron's corner in the RobertFinn\Emma pic (the consequences must be severe really hope Kasim doesn't die as a result) as expected that I look forward to but dreading seeing Aaron get arrested but now we know the heartbreaking element to the wedding is.

Oh I didn't realise that - although do wonder how they get leaked, especially if there are pictures too?? (the cynical part of me does wonder if 'leaked' is perhaps the wrong word!!)

but anyway here's some Robert/Aaron goodness to lighten the mood and remind us what they're ACTUALLY all about...............

I should have said he was being honest with Aaron, and Aaron has always demanded honesty. At least that is how I see it, though I see others accuse Robert of "lying". I fail to see where he was lying, except in the subterfuge about his birthday surprise. Nearly every person in the world is guilty of "lying" or misleading their partner on such occassions.

The real culprits last night were Liv (why isn't she back at school? the schools round here went back on Tuesday and Wednesday)instead of spying on people with her phone camera and Chas for being taken in by her puerile nonsense. The other culprit of course was Lachlan who did lie about being assaulted, the motive for his conduct being to make Chrissie feel guilty, and get things out of her, which is probably what inspired her rant in the pub.

Bored sick of Kerry, and it seems there is a law this week which says that every episode has to include Zac & Cain Steptoe, however aimless or pointless or trite their conversation.

I suppose we have weeks of brooding from Aaron "Hamlet" Dingle to cope with now. By the way I didn't hear the word "babe". It sounds a very untypical "Aaron" word. I prefer "mate"

With all due respect, I suspect that Eastenders already has this years awards in the bag. New producer (from the unlikely source of The Archers!), and very strong performances from the actors who play the parts of "Phil", for his illness and battle with the bottle, "Ben" for his performances following the death of his boyfriend, and "Lee" for his battle with depression and descent into crime. I am not a fan of EE and certainly not of "Phil", but these are hard-hitting stories, and they have added a new one to the brew this week with the sudden widowhood of "Jack", and a double drowning.

I say that with no pleasure but I don't think overall Emmerdale has been as strong in 2016.
