The weather is crap, I feel ill, oh and the Americans just voted to return to the dark ages, so all is right with the world.
Sorry. You could live in America right now so it could be worse.

We'll see what happens, but I think undoubtedly I will be worse off economically and socially.

I can't even sleep I'm so upset. We made so much progress these past eight years and to see it all taken away is devastating to say the least.

I know what you mean. Now I am very worried for my future. The biggest economic obstacle in my life has always been discrimination because I am a woman and not considered conventionally attractive. Now I worry I am going to face more discrimination in employment. I already see the misogynistic views coming out in my family.

My sincere condolences to our American Robroners. Today is an effed up day. I would like to suggest New Zealand as an alternate lovely place to live as the Canadian immigration site seems to have crashed already.

On a more relevant note. Just watched the last epi. WTF the whites are one disturbing bunch. So glad its out in the open now.

Big hugs to both of you. Such a sad sad day 😭 😖

A very grim day indeed - very sorry to all our American posters, so, so depressing.

On a rather fluffier note...it's snowing here in Yorkshire today, so depending where Emmerdale is up to in the filming schedule it might be a white Christmas in the Dales.

A white Christmas would be nice. On a more pleasant note I'm less worried about Rebecca. I think she's got Daddy issues and not a deep seeded love for Robert. Its probably more about male acceptance than anything else.

I figured it was more of a rejection issue. She doesn't like being NOT wanted. And for the most part she probably gets her way otherwise.

I also share my condolences to all the American Emmerdale fans (and all Americans actually). I watched the results come in today in a state of disbelief.

As a fellow New Zealander, I echo what stripycow has said about our Country. It's a lovely, welcoming place and couldn't be further away from the US. Something to think about if Canada seems a bit too close to things still.

I think after this next upcoming rejection, and whatever words Aaron has with her about her behavior, she might finally start to accept things and stop pushing for something romantic/sexual with Robert.

Daddy rejects her for Chrissie, Robert rejects her for Chrissie she sees a way to get them back and feel wanted. I think if she gets one of her two her father's approval she won't stalk Robert as much. At any rate she's likely not in love with Robert in the conventional sense. Its more of an obsession with being wanted.

Yeah I agree with that. I don't think what she feels is love and eventually she'll give up.

I think so too. It will be a bit silly if it kept going. I kind of hope it opens the way for them to be friends as well.
