I don't think people want Robert to be jealous I think what people are saying is it would be nice to see him being jealous/protective of his relationship with Aaron. Some say he is not the jealous type but Robert with all his arrogance would not like anyone taking or trying to take Aaron from him or threatening that relationship.

I think the actual difference is that Robert isn't going to do anything with Rebecca. He's turned her down several times. Look I get that people don't want to see Aaron hurt, but he's not going to be hurt. Robert has a past, in choosing Robert Aaron chooses that past for good and for ill. I think his life might be easier if he didn't have all of Robert's baggage but then he wouldn't have Robert.

Me too, lol. I just hope after the 15th, Rebecca finally gives up her obsession with Robert. I can cope with them working together as long as she finally realises nothing is going to happen.

I suppose that's kind of the point. Aaron is now in Chrissie's position. Not that I think Robert is lying to him or cheating the way he was on Chrissie. Just that I can see Aaron looking back and having that nagging thought that everything he's saying to me now is basically what he was telling Chrissie just a year or so ago and look how that turned out. And now he and Rebecca are getting cozy? I mean really it hasn't really been that much time between what they were then and what they are now so while I think Aaron has to make the decision to trust Robert completely regardless of what Rebecca's agenda might be until he gives him genuine reason not to because he chose to get back with him I can see why there might be glitches to that.

Even with Robert not doing anything or actively doing anything with Rebecca I can still understand why Aaron would have a problem. Its completely normal. I dont even think trust is a issue right now. Its not like he is going around distrusting Robert over everything. Just this one person who has already proven to be a problem and will be again.

IA of course their is a difference between Chrobert and R/R now. Like I said before even with Robert not doing anything (though if he lies about working with her thats wrong) I get why Aaron would be uncomfortable with her hanging around Robert.

I think I'm in a minority - I like the angst/drama just as much as the happiness

They are both insecure/flawed characters and that's a big part of makes them work well together - without those elements to each character (and this storyline is another manifestation of that), it wouldn't be Robron.

If they were happy most of the time, not sure they'd have this level of popularity and have reached part 10 of an appreciation thread

Look at his reaction over Chrissie and Andy because he thought Andy was getting something he wasn't. Granted it was the money he was really jealous of, but still. And I think he was jealous when she kissed Cain although he was also very self-serving about it too. And he did seem initially jealous over who Adam was to Aaron before Vic told him they were just friends, I suppose.

So do I, I get why he'd be jealous. I just don't think its a big deal. He's going to be jealous, and sometimes angry and frustrated as well. It won't be boring being with Robert.

I do think Robert is capable of being jealous. He would make a few sarcastic comments to make a joke.

I totally know what your meaning & your right.. like me for instance my boyfriend of 7 years who I've 3 children to I trust, never has he given me a reason not to.. but there's a certain ex flame that feels the need to come over & speak to him everytime she runs into us & its frustrating for me as I don't like it, again not because I don't trust him it's just because she's an ex who likes to approach/speak to him any chance she gets.. so Aaron's situation is understandable, jealously is natural & actually doesn't mean that his trust in Robert is blinded, it's simply just a shit situation to be in.

That's abit unfair.. I get that Aaron choose Robert knowing what he was like but thats more or less saying that whatever gets thrown at Aaron he should just take it on the chin Aaron just wants a happy life with Robert.. not quiet but certainly not full of unnecessary drama either.

What's Robert thrown at him though.? You guys talk like Robert can control what happens with Rebecca and make her not love him. Make it so she isn't the best chance to help his family. He can't. If he were doing something to cause all this I'd agree with you, but he isn't.

Aaron will naturally be jealous but what does he want to break up with Robert so he never has to feel jealous of her.

I seem to remember Robert being very angry (which I assumed came from jealousy) when he found out about Chrissie kissing Cain, and then there was how he reacted when Donnie came back - seemed a little bit jealous and insecure then too.

Both characters are in difficult situations - Robert only has one option to help Andy, and that's to get close to Rebecca. I totally understand why Aaron is jealous, particularly because of the Robecca history. The jealousy aspect is something which I personally like - it's a perfectly natural emotion to have, it's another demonstration of how important Robert is to him (not that his feelings towards Robert are in doubt) and it's interesting to see how he deals/feels with a 'threat' (in the form of Rebecca) to his relationship.

Just to add, I think Robert would totally be the jealous type when it comes to Aaron. He'd try to hide it or make a joke of it, but would be seething on the inside until it came to the surface in the form of some serious anger (or a crazy scheme). I'd like to see that too

I agree that Robert would be very jealous if it came to it with Aaron.Like others have said he may not show it straight away,or in the same way as others but it would become obvious soon enough.Anyhow,I really have no idea why some get upset or annoyed even if one of them is going to be jealous,in a situation like this one.Jealousy is one of the most natural emotions for a human,man or woman.A lot of people say it's not a desirable trait or whatever,but in my opinion it is very normal in a circumstance such as this with Rebecca.Maybe sometimes hard to deal with but I don't think anyone wouldn't feel jealous or worried

Now I never said Robert has thrown anything at Aaron.. it was an example of how your post came across, it seemed like you was blaming Aaron's jealousy on him deciding to be with Robert knowing what he was like, that if he wants a quiet life he should have chosen differently that's what my post was about.. nothings been said about Aaron wanting to break up with Robert over it either.

Well yeah Aaron's jealousy in this situation is because he's chosen to be with Robert and he has a past. Has Robert done anything to cause this jealousy?

If Aaron wanted to not have that kind of jealousy he could be with someone like Finn who's past is more sedate.

I can see Sderr's point but also Aaron is not choosing to be jealous or mistrustful. Feeling that way doesn't make him wrong. It's not something he can control really.

Obviously if Aaron can't handle it then Aaron would have to do what is ultimately best for him and not be with Robert as it's not fair on Robert either.

What would be 'wrong' of Aaron would be to give an ultimatum but as far as we know that doesn't happen.

I think this issue will be resolved when Aaron finds out about Rebecca kissing Robert again.

Well of course Aaron's not doing anything wrong by feeling jealous. I just think people are exaggerating how hurt Aaron is going to be. He chooses Robert so he chooses the emotions that come with that. If he couldn't handle it I doubt he would have accepted Robert's proposal in the first place. Its not like Aaron is unprepared for Robert drama.

Aaron needs to remember that two weeks ago Robert was prepared to die, rather than leave Aaron to drown in that car alone. When Aaron was (understandably) pushing him away in the wake of the Gordon reveal and abuse story Robert said he would wait for him and he did. If he was so sexually desperate he had his pick of several women,or Finn, but he didn't.. He even bought 2 rings so that Aaron would be spared the expense of buying Robert one himself.

If Robert was Ross you could understand the concern, but he isn't
