You mean you can't get one at Harrods I mean seriously who in their right mind would buy something like that for their home kitchen.

Seemed to be all the rage a few years back in the States but yeah definitely a gadget for the professional kitchen.

This girl knows what she is doing. Monica just took the words from my mouth as I wrote them.

I think if I couldn't work out how to use it or it meant I could potentially lose a couple of digits I wouldn't even go near it. I won't even use a mandolin which the husband bought me a few years ago. It's still in it's box
A tip for a mandolin - always, always use the guard even of in a real hurry!

I've never drunk it again
That happened to me at sixteen with Whisky. My dad's special posh scottish stuff. We all got horribly, horribly drunk, including my dad.

He never touched it again.

It took me twenty years and it still made me barf.

What is that machine?
It's a Thermomix, been around for a few years. £1000 a pop.

Why? It is an industry standard machine. Being shown how to use these things saves an awful lot of trips to A and E clutching your severed fingers in a clean tea towel (especially as some of this lot cannot even use a sharp knife). Sadly people simply do not understand how dangerous some kitchen equipment can be and I say this as someone who had to deal with all the accident reports coming from school kitchens. Tales of horror and a lot of blood!
I think I'd be okay with just reading the instruction manual, can't speak for everyone else though.

Home made marmite. Can't see it working with white fish.

I got totally drunk on vodka once when my drink was spiked.. Weird thing is it made me allergic to it now. It was actually that that put me off drink now so I am more of a teetotal drinker now.

I had a lot of Southern Comfort many years ago and still have to leave a room if I get a whiff of it!
It was Bacardi for me, got very drunk on it and couldn't even look at it for years.

I had the odd one with my Mum as it was her tipple but not touched it since she died (20 years ago).

I've been worse for wear on a lot of different shorts and don't drink them now.

Vodka is evil. You feel alright one minute and wake up on a roundabout.

That's the problem. Most people don't or at least they only read the intro, and then wonder why they have no fingers left!
