I used to like a pea and brown sauce sandwich when I lived at home (about 40 years ago), used to get the ones left over in the pan but I squashed them onto the bread so they didn't fall out. They were home-grown peas from the garden - yum.

I am going to try that. Sounds a lovely veggie butty and I will rub garlic on ciabatta to make it posh.
