That would be a very bitter end result!
Jus gras with essence of Grace Dent. Not likely to work on a menu is it?

How can people eat roe deer? They're so pretty.
I know, I'm seriously thinking I'll have to ditch meat as I can't bear to think of the slaughter process. I was even feeling sorry for the sheep I passed today.

I was born and bred on a farm as well.

You've got to gouge huge holes in your ears too.

If you can, try and get hold of a walk in fruit/veg cage.. We have one on our veg plot and it's been a godsend. Stops the birds and the butterflies but allows the bees to still get in there
I've looked into those, for the size we need it would be too expensive. Our set up at the moment is 4 raised beds, all set up to take our brassica cage that has zips in it for easy access! That then gets moved as the beds are rotated.

Then the wall has a couple of removable cages so that they can be put in place just as the plants are fruiting. Strawberry bed has its own cage as well.

I absolutely love our little veg garden!

Hopefully that should be okay... I would also suggest putting a couple of cd's on string across the plot too, at least it might go someway to scare the birds away..

You could starve to death in this guy's household. He spends so much time faffing, there's not much real food. V. annoying because he has talent

We had a glut of apples this year but they fell to the ground and either smashed to bits or immediately got wrigglies in them. I picked one up and something black and skinny started waving at me from its hole.

Managed to use some of the apples though, stewed them and had them as apple sauce with pork chops or with yoghurt. DH put some on his cereal.
OMG maggots my bete noir.
