She probably couldn't even boil an egg.
That's why she's a critic on here she is blagging a meal or four...lol

I've never eaten samphire, I'm put off by it being too salty.

She really ruined this program for me.

I steamed it, as I recall, and didn't add any salt. But the taste really put me off trying it again! I do know it's a form of sea weed though.
I don't think steaming it was a good thing..but if you have it again boil the water rapidly and then just put it in there and leave for a minute. Don't over boil it or make it soggy.. It's rather like cooking asparagus

I don't even know what it is lol.
It's a pastry made from very thin leaves of pastry (mille feuille means 'thousand sheets') sandwiched with creme patissier and fruit. Darn difficult to make.

Last edited by Ess_Bee : 01-12-2016 at 21:01. Reason: Changed 'leaves' to 'sheets'!

Nope! I think that we eat far to much salt and use very very little in my cooking, my tastebuds are really sensitive to salt.

Definitely the right result considering the meltdown that Mark had.

A thousand. It wouldn't fit on the plate if it was a million.

It's fine if you cook it correctly Cobblers..its a really nice "vegetable". And tastes lovely with a hollandaise sauce over the top

Thanks all. Bit dull tonight I thought.

Maybe it's me. I'm knackered and bonked my head really badly yesterday and had stitches in my head and had to go to work in a stupid hat.

You should. It's very nice. I don't find it salty at all and I don't use salt in my food.
