Too true. French and Saunders would do a wonderful send-up

This is the kind of place where you need to call into the Kebab Shop on the way home

I'd love to visit Oslo but if I ever do, I won't be eating at this place. Probably horrendously expensive as well as stupidly pretentious.

You'd probably have to reserve a table about two years in advance too...

Yes, I bought a tub of Skyr, fruit flavoured, it's like a very rich and fatty yoghurt and I couldn't finish it. Rather dull, actually.

ETA Just read that it's fat free! Well it does a good impersonation of something fatty.

Good point. Maybe they could serve it on a bed of whale poo with a garnish of microbeads.

Irish guys hairstyle is very Lisbeth Salander or Rangar Lothbrok from Vikings.

I am a great fan of the beard ...my husband has one, mainly because I won't let him shave it off

Oh lor, Mum used to do cods roe on toast for Dad. The smell lingered in the house for days. She also used to bake herring in vinegar and the smell was even worse.

It's the opposite here, I actively discourage OH from growing one, though he doesn't shave on his days off. I suppose if he really wanted to grow a beard he would (I don't think he'd be allowed one for work though).
