Lovely Jay is back ... with vinegar Sitwell, no idea who the other guy is
Someone called Amol Rajan. Will need to google........

He's the Editor of The Independent! So what qualifies him to judge?

Agreed. Especially when eagle eyed viewers on here spotted Marcus took 30 minutes to make the "cheesecake" not 15.
I'm sure it must have done. I agree it is unfair they get no thinking time, how many of us proficient cooks could do it that time?

I'm not a proficient cook so I wouldn't know.

He eats out for free a lot on expenses. Like the rest of them.

At least Greg had a few kind words.
Yep, I'm afraid Marcus has become totally transparent as the show goes on. He's one of those who has likes and dislikes, and can be quite cruel - typical head chef.

It's also quite obvious he has the major say in who goes through. It was obvious he wanted Kirsty to go through, the other night - despite the fact that the other two found significant problems with her cooking (though you can see why - he wants the show to have a decent representation from female contestants, fair enough, I suppose).

He was a guest judge on Great British Menu. Not as bad as Sitwell.

Ah well that would explain it then. He is obviously an expert on food. I like the Tracey woman, she's usually quite fair.

Being a wage slave, I don't watch Lorraine. Still don't know why he on the food critic's table though.

I like this challenge. Levels the playing field a bit. Would have been interesting to see what Rohan would have come up with though.

I'm going to start posting photos of my supermarket receipts, so I can claim to be a "food blogger", seems to be all the qualification you need
