Apple ID
Hello. Hoping someone can help me out.
I have an old iphone 4s which has apple music on. I am thinking of giving this to my 8 year son to use as an ipod (did buy an old one but can't get apple music on it) I now have an iphone se. When I turn my old phone on it is linked to my apple id. Is there a way I can clear it off and set him with a new id on 4s and then link it to our family apple music account? I didn't want to try logging out on 4s in case messes up my account on se?!?! Thanks in advance and hope this makes sense. |

Reset is easy: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/KM20...s::applesearch
However, you might want to just leave it with your ID. I have 4 iOS devices on the same ID and they work just fine. You can have a separate ID and family sharing but it is a bit more fiddly to set up. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201088 |

I want him to use it but at same time want make sure he can't do any dsmage to my se. |

You may want to bear in mind that if he's logged into Apple Music using your ID any music he adds to your iCloud music library will be added on all your devices using that Apple ID. Same for playlists. There's also the possibility they could purchase content using your Apple ID
If you already have family sharing and a family Apple Music plan there is no reason not to set him up a child Apple ID and use that. I would also highly recommend turning Ask To Buy on in the family group settings so they can't buy any apps or other content without your (or another adult in the group's) permission |

Can get music from iTunes but then have to either purchase music or spend time burning a cd which defeats object. |
