To get back to the original point of this thread, today I've been unboxing a phone that will retail for £240 and yet has a full-HD 5.5-inch display, 16-megapixel camera, 64GB of storage, dual SIM and a large 3,140mAh quick charging battery. It has an octo-core 1.8GHz CPU and 4GB of RAM.

What's more, on Black Friday, it will be selling for £184.99!

I'm yet to set it up but once again, questions will have to be asked again about whether a similar spec phone is worth £700+
So, can you tell us now which phone this is of which ye speak

Would be a bit cheeky to charge you for it.

No big deal, but it's under £200. This thread was about the cost of phones and the allegation of huge profit margins.

A 16MP camera? So that's definitely much better than the 12MP camera on the iPhone?

I honestly didn't realise that. I was under the, I now realise mistaken, impression that there was more to a camera than the number of megapixels.

Thanks for setting me straight.

Of course there is, so your assumption above is very wrong. I'm quite surprised.

But if you're thinking a £200 phone is AS good as an £800 one, you're likely very wrong too. The point is, is a phone worth £600 more and does it have £600 worth of components more.
