Anyone watching this?

I like Sam and Baby Paul even Big Paul ( even though I'm not keen on calling your kids the same name as you) seems much better after the baby diaries but Gaynor (Paul's mum) I dunno there's something odd about her.

Gaynor seems to play a big part in their lives, it's always Sam is doing this or that and Gaynor goes along as well.

Maybe Sams mum is busy with the business and Gaynor doesn't work or something but I get the feeling Sams mum and sister are not too keen on Gaynor.

Yes I think its nice that Gaynor helps out sam with the baby and true they dont seem that keen on her but I'm not sure I would be either personally she seems a bit nuts however sam seems to like her so I guess thats all that matters.

Gaynor did make me laugh though when she was talking about Baby Paul getting christened because we love Jesus, the baby hasnt got a clue whats she going on about

In the last programme when Sam was pregnant I wasn't keen on Gaynor but in this series I'm really liking Gaynor. She's a bit bonkers but I love how she just supports everything and really gets involved in all the things they are doing. I'd much rather have Gaynor as a mother in law than some critical over bearing person. I've never heard her criticise anything Sam does. She was even going to follow them to Surrey!

I agree with you Gaynor has never critised Sam for anything and she does like to get involved with her grandson, however I still think she is nuttier than a fruitcake

Got to say, I absolutely adore baby Paul. So adorably cute. Such a shame he's going to be camera savvy which isn't a nice trait. It makes people too self-conscious.

I find the whole Gaynor thing a bit odd tbh, yes great that she gets on well with her 'daughter in law', she obviously adores the baby but, I find that Big Pauls thinking towards his mum very off putting.

When they were talking about moving to Surrey it was just accepted that Gaynor would move that way as well, same with the LA move, Big Paul said about his mum 'well she would come with us' or something along those lines.

i would love to know what Sams mum and sister really think of it all, I would find it all a bit stifling tbh.

My take on all this is that Sam is pretty shrewd and knows that to keep her man happy, she needs mummy on side. It's a ploy that works well, so long as man starts to grow away from mummy and mummy allows him to. Unfortunately, man isn't following the script. Oops.

Paul is bizarre - permanently grinning and ignoring Sam a lot of the time. V hypocritical of him to say she still needed to lose weight when he is really out of shape himself. All the stuff about moving to Surrey and LA was so scripted and contrived.

Baby Paul is adorable but will they still be calling him that when he's a teenager?

I think that Gaynor oversteps the mark, the way she adjusted Sams tops when she was breastfeeding the baby....noooo....back off woman that is too much.

Don't think Sams mum or sister really like Paul or his mum very much, she cracked me up when they were at dinner with the 'you two snogging again' comment.

Goodness knows why this family warrant a show of their own. The only "talent" is having produced a beautiful little boy and so have millions of other people. Sam is so smug and full of herself, cant imagine why, and is embarrassing when she is trying to persuade "Big Paul" to name the day all the time. Her mother in law is a bit weird to say the least. Cant see them taking off in LA where would be celebrities are ten a penny.

I agree, lets see the real side of raising a baby.

Have you time travelled from the 1950s??? There is no way on earth 'Shrewd', and '...keep her man happy', should EVER appear in the same sentence!!!!

His happiness is down to him. NOT Sam.

Sam has SHOCKING taste in men. She's gone from brain dead man baby narcissist Joey Essex to brain dead, misogynist, archaic plank of wood Paul, who, bizarrely, actually looks about 45 whilst sounding like a 15 year old with learning difficulties. One can only assume she was so desperate to procreate that she hooked up with the first available knuckle dragger.

Hey, I never said I was one of those women BIB - No it's not Sam's responsibility, that's not what I meant. He's needy in that he relies on his mother a lot and I believe Sam's trying to keep both him and his mother happy. (Personally, I wouldn't bother with the big man baby, but she seems to want him).
