CS: The Police

Why does Corrie always get sassy and cheeky police women? Last night when the police woman cornered Maria at the cafe she was a cheeky b!tch not to mention the police woman who interviewed David Platt a few weeks ago when he was accused of throwing a brick through Maccas window, the police woman was over the top.

It's clear that Corrie cannot write police women that well, they always end up looking over the top.

The two that arrived after the car crash looked so dishevelled I thought they were pole dancers who could have benefitted from a visit to Audrey's salon to have their hair poked.

I thought the same thing, every one has the same personality.

The police are always dicks who assume the wronged are automatically guilty. I wonder if the production crew at Corrie actually have something against the police with the amount of times they are portrayed badly.

Why doesn't the producer ask for advice from the police? The coppers in Coronation Street are always made out to be stupid and unprofessional. Is it likely that police officers would wander into a cafe and have an interview with a suspect.?

I doubt the producers care, they want to be as over-dramatic as possible. They aren't bothered about realism. We are obviously getting another recycled plot where a character is falsely accused of something they haven't done, leading to the whole street to assume they are guilty also.

Police on soaps are always useless. What did maria's marriage have to do with what happened to Caz, absolutely nothing is what.

I *think* the idea is that they'll suspect Maria "killed" Caz because Caz "threatened" to go to the police and report the shame marriage (I know Caz hasn't).

One thing I do find unbelievable. Kate... made it more than obvious she wanted nothing more to do with Caz and is now concerned for her welfare?!

I swear Corrie bosses just make it up as they go along these days.

They always tip up unannounced and manage to locate who they need to talk to so easily too. It sometimes takes me weeks to track someone down!

Recently all the nasty, hard-faced female cops have had silent male partners too.
