Charlie Brooks trying to move away from Janine
That's a real shame. I was hoping for a camp, Sharon-style return as the new secret owner of the Vic 
A shame, a Janine return would be brilliant. Although she's not ruling it out altogether, just for the time being. I can see her returning late next year or in 2018 once Charlie's had a crack at other roles. She's one of those characters who's bound to turn up sooner or later.

I doubt it trying to get away from a popular character would take many many years of not being them. She's not gonna say she's attempting to move on from the character in late 2016 only to return a year or two later.
Actually, given the appalling way EE has handled female returnees of late, maybe it's best she stays away. I couldn't bear a watered-down version of Janine.
what I shame - I was so hoping - even googled her a while ago - and she did not seem to have any major projects lined up.

Well maybe not right away, but she'll definitely be back in a few years, whether that be 2 or 5. It's good that Charlie wants to try other roles and I say good on her. But she knows Janine is a hugely popular character, and if she ever wants to return, would be opened up with open arms. But one thing I never want to see is Janine watered down. She is a superbitch and there's no point denying that. That's one thing I disagree with about Stacey. I like her new role as the Fowler matriarch, but I feel like she needs just a bit of her feisty Slater side back.
