Does anyone else feel as though Abi is being moulded into the new Janine. I know her journey down the road to Hell has started much later in life than Janine's did but the writers do seem to be sticking to Abi's new "bitch" characterisation. And when you think about it, there's some interesting parallels:

- The daughter of a dodgy car salesman who can't keep it in his pants.
- Worshiped the ground said father walked on until they were abandoned them.
- Routinely overlooked because of more demanding siblings.
- No strong mother figure.
- Manipulative/jealous personality.

Abi just wants to be loved and be put first.

I think she has the potential to be better than Janine ever was because they can make her multi layered. Some of the current soap bitches and Janine has no redeeming features at all like Janine, Tracey Barlow and Charity Dingle so you just end up loathing them when they continually rinse and repeat.

If you see the human, vulnerable side behind it it's easier to empathise with them

Very true, Lea. Most Soap Bitches DO become very cartoonish. I still find Lorna's acting a bit cringey to be a convincing bitch but she is improving.

Not to mention a Gin soaked Grandmother!
