Can we all agree that was the worst task in the history of the show? How BORING!!
So incredibly dull. |

Because of the way it was edited, it was too similar to the jeans task of just a couple of weeks ago. No viewer who was not already familiar with crowdfunding would have ended the show much wiser.

It is worth bearing in mind that there would be a call of "Why don't you do crowdfunding, as many small businesses use it?" and such things do require a lot of people - much like advertising jeans, so it needs such an exercise early in the run. The point of crowdfunding is to attract donations - the point of selling jeans is selling - so the exercises are related, but have different aspects.

The producers needed to make it clear what crowdfunding is and what the teams were doing to attract it. As it was, the main novel element got lost. |

It must have been edited or set up like crazy because there is no way any collective group of people could be so ignorant and retarded about crowdfunding that they don't sort out basic things like the reward structures.
Secondly how can anyone in the 21st century not operate a camera or think that a video of the ground would be good? It defies belief it has to be set up because I refuse to believe rational people actually operate this way. Then finally and fundamentally the whole point of the task was a waste of time and doesn't work in the set up of a day task. Crowdfunding typically lasts for a month/months. |

Yes it was pretty terrible but then I think most tasks like this are. At least we've got the classic buying task next week.

This series does seem to have been characterised by teams forgetting things: jeans for the photoshoot; the stock van in week 1; product details on adverts; the personal shopper's customer details last week; now this. It all seems very sloppy. Maybe this is a by-product of the dictatorial management style we've seen.

I'm familiar with crowdfunding - and If you want to be, check out http://www.pledgemusic.com/ - as I've supported and bought items in the past from such sites. I'm not too surprised that these plonkers aren't, they are the people that don't know what unisex means, remember?
Beginning to think that the only abilities these guys on The Apprentice have is an unlimited amount of self-deception and self-confidence, and the ability to look good in business attire. |

Most of the episode was a distraction - focusing on the team's attempts to create a "viral" event that was never going to happen given the budget, resources, and location on offer, all designed to make them look as stupid as possible. The actual result seems to have hinged (as if often the case) on who gave the best pitches at the end, and who had the best product, both of which aspects of the task were skirted over as quickly as possible because they weren't as good for cheap lols.
The show's downfall now is that it's exclusively focused on making everyone look as bad as possible (and if they don't do badly enough, to inflate the supposed disasters up to cartoonish proportions, like the "worst ever advertising task" that featured disasters so COLOSSAL I've already forgotten what they supposedly were, saying "they're Japanese" too many times or whatever), throwing an increasingly absurd amount of task elements at them, knowing someone will drop one of them (long gone are the days of "sell some pizzas" or "shoot a tv ad and design a print ad and that's it") without bothering at all to build up anybody up as good, as they know they'll be able to throw out a quick figleaf for the winner at the end to make them look half decent, and nobody's watching for that any more anyway. The problem with this comes when you have what's happening here, where the Big Characters (Jessica/Karthik) are over-rehearsed and phony, the Villains (Grainne/Paul) aren't particularly unpleasant, and pretty much everyone else is one or another shade of off-beige. If your angle is "lol watch these idiots **** up over and over again" without any real attempt to craft longer-term storylines, they have to be compelling idiots on a week by week basis. And this lot aren't. As has already been said for example, how often can you watch "oh no someone forgot something" and have it be entertaining? |

At least the question of bigger discounts for large retailers, at the cost of fairness to small shops, was relevant to business, but the issues were not explored. |

24 hours to create a viral video is never going to work really and look at what they got...not even a grand either of them, proper viral marketing takes weeks or more to hit its stride not 24 hours.
It was the half decent presentation of the safety thing (however its spelled properly) that made the different but would i pay 99 quid for such an item? no way...you can buy usb leds for a quid and they come ready flexible and all it would take is a bit of effort with a needle and thread and i'm sure we could of done the same for a tenner. |

![]() However, the argument might be advanced by some here that this task is "repetitive". Seems they cannot win! |

They even managed to make the classic finding items task boring.
Maybe seeing them all nearly get swept into the sea might be more exciting next week
