Little Mix copy again

After Shoutout To My Ex sounding too similar to Ugly Heart you'd think they would avoid another situation like that.

New track F.U from Glory sounds like someone's been listening too much Elvis- Can't Help Falling in Love.

Does Simon and co think they are invincible are show disregard to their artists copying older songs

Utter rubbish, this is just being mischievous.

And of course 'Can't Help Fallin in Love' uses the melody of 'Plaisir d'amour' from 1784, so you didn't even quote the right tune.

I don't know why you are projecting your anger to little mix. They don't produce their songs. If any song sounds familiar to another, that is entirely down to the people who produce it.

Unless there is a lawsuit that they lose then you can't accuse them of copying anyone.

'Shout out to my ex' and 'F.U.' are awful and desperate songs. 'You gotta not' is their best new track though. I do like this one

...but we have a young generation who only like music because it sounds familiar.

So really, it's nothing new. Either songs sound like they're "ripping off" others peoples songs, or the style of song sounds just like every other popular song in the charts.

If it's familiar, it will sell. That's how the music industry works now.

The one song of theirs that sounded plagiarised to me is the chorus of Love Me Like You, almost note for note the same as Be My Baby by The Ronettes. Total rip off! My fave Little Mix song is Move.

Little Mix and Fifth Harmony for that matter are utter trash: trash voices, trash songs, more trash than Oscar the Grouch. It's a pity this is what a modern day girl group is.

'Love Me Like You' is a tribute to the Phil Spector sound rather than the Motown sound which has been mentioned. It's rather like Donna Summer's similar tribute 'Love's Unkind' which references The Crystal's 'The He Kissed Me'.

LM write a lot of their own lyrics and their ribald wit shows through even in LMLY.
And again in LM's latest song 'F.U.' there is a 60s sound, a great theme and the same wit.

Unlike a lot of popular girl groups all of both LM and 5H members can sing and harmonise. They are not TLC, En Vogue or Destiny's Child. But LM are an extremely clever bunch of girls and they just happen to be making some of the best pop music around.

Shame people prefer to listen to this average, harmless band and ignore a really fun and witty girl band like Katzenjammer.

Zany rather than witty but quite fun, and it's not mutually exclusive to listen and like both groups, funnily enough.

And if you want satire, then there's these girls, Fascinating Aida https://youtu.be/eN9VcCzMSqg

Black Magic is a huge rip off of The Saturdays 'Disco Love' too!

I don't really get the 'zany' comment, you'd have to explain - is it because of the swapping of instruments? That's kind off their thing, between the 4 of them they play 30+ instruments, which are all on stage and swapped around. You'd probably have to see them live to understand the witty part, all 4 girls are genuinely funny with plenty of chatting between songs, nothing scripted either. Mark Radcliffe has gone on record as saying they gave his favorite Glastonbury performance ever, and David Burne personally invited them to Bonnaroo after catching them Live once.

It's a shame Marianne Sveen (the one often wearing the wig) left the band earlier this year, I can't see them continuing without her. But I got to see them Live 3 times and they left 3 albums of music. Not much music I enjoy I expect to have any real commercial appeal, but these girls with their catchy songs and sunny personally could have been enjoyed by more people.

Oh here's some Harmony stuff.

All I mean by zany is that the overall music and music is a bit eccentric and primarily designed for comic purposes. To me that's closer to Fascinating Aida than Little Mix.
LM are primarily a pop group who have added some spice(!) and wit to a few great pop songs. LM are naturally funny and sing well, so do Katzenjammer. I have time for both.

'Plaisir d'amour' was of course taken from Madame Dubois' song "Accueillir Chers Enfants" which she sang to her class each morning - Jean-Paul-Égide Martini (the writer of 'Plaisir d'amour' ) was one of her pupils.
