Emmerdale- Liv's hair.
Hello everyone,
I just found myself wondering about Liv's latest style and thought I would share those thoughts with the forums. It's hardly a groundbreaking topic I know but oh well, hear me out. ![]() The way a character would have their hair is usually quite an indication as to what they are like- so Liv's very sensible pony tale really fit her tom boy/hard shell character type. In the last few episodes though she has been sporting french braids- I do think it looks nice and I think the actress has nice hair- But i just can't imagine Liv devoting her time in front of a mirror to do that to her hair every morning!

I work at a high school and this hair is all the craze with the teenagers there. About 2 years ago, I can garuntee most of them wouldn't have been seen dead in them plaits, calling them "childish", but now suddenly they've all got them.

Find it hard to believe she does it herself. It looks too good. Wonder if Chas is good at doing hair? Can't see Aaron or Robert being expert hair stylists! Lol

Braids, palits call them what you will are all the rage now if your hair is long enough. A friend's grand-daughter of 6 loves having her hair braided and I have noticed a lot of young people with the same styles.

I assumed chas was doing them for her, chas while an irritating character does have a maternal instinct a mile wide unlike charity who seems to have no feeling for even her own children.

Robert is quite suave and can turn his hand to solve almost any problem so I'm pretty sure he is the one behind Liv's new and very fashionable 'do'.

Robert maybe. I can't see Aaron knowing how to braid although it would be amusing if it turned out to be him. My money's on Lisa though.

I'm surprised that none of you lot have suggested that Cain pops round first thing every morning to knit the braids into place!

lol some good responses. I'm just surprised Liv cares enough to have the latest style. Even if they do look good.
They should do a storyline that slowly reveals that Liv has a mystery midnight hair braider :'D |

Liv appeared in Friday's 'The Dumping Ground' on CBBC. Well, the actress did.
She was sporting a hippy look. |

Right because manly men don't cry. Only women. lol. But Aaron's been shown to be both kind of clueless and indifferent to that kind of thing, but maybe he'd learn just for Liv. Vic's another possibility. Or Adam. He grew up with sisters.

You're correct. It's not just teenagers either, many women in their 20's and even 30's are sporting plaited/braided styles right now. If you go on Youtube, there are women who can do all sorts of styles and they have thousands of views for their tutorials. It doesn't have to be pigtails, it can be relatively elaborate braids into buns or ponytails. It doesn't have to be childish. but it is feminine. I don't know if it's the trend for medieval/historical drama's inspiring it. or it's just a more random thing. I am absolutely terrible at doing hair - but I wish I could do all that stuff, my sister has been watching tutorials and has learned to do all sorts of braided style which she never could before. I'm jealous. |

I meant in the story obviously. Roll eyes
![]() Sorry. Braiding hair isn't difficult, I used to do my own at her age and younger. Far more gently than my mother ever managed too. |

I thought Liv's hair looked really cute. I like that it's become fashionable to plait your long hair. |
