What is it with shampoos these days?
You get loads of lather, yet your hair just doesn't feel clean
Mine is greasy and I would really like that squeeky clean feeling and get softness by applying conditioner after.
Any recommendations?

How hard is your water?

Do you use the same shampoo regularly?

Both of these things could lead to a build up of previous shampoos, conditioners and product.

I use Epsom salts in the water when I wash my hair as the water in Norwich is incredibly hard.

I only use a shampoo/conditioner twice then change to another brand for the next two washes, then back again.

If my hair is feeling really built up I use the pink (with glittery bits in it) L'Oréal elvive Shampoo and conditioner. Think it's called something like high gloss. It seems to work really well as a clarifier. Hair is soft and very shiny afterwards. And yes, it squeaks!

I always give this tip when people ask regarding dull hair etc. I use Fairy Liquid every 5 or 6 washes, sometimes more often. I have grey hair that can become dull with product build up so the Fairy Liquid gets rid of that build up. I expect some people will say it is not good to use this, but I have used it for years and years and always get compliments on my healthy shiny hair after I have washed it with this. I also find my hair is better without wash in conditioner, I just use a shine serum or cream each morning before I use the hair dryer to style it quickly. (My short hair only takes a couple of minutes to style)

Use Lush Daddyo- your hair feels totally different after using it, a medium sized bottle lasts a year as it's so concentrated, and it's not tested on animals like that L'Oreal shit.

eBay is your best bet. You can get them from Boots but you'll be paying a small fortune for them!

I get a huge sack through an eBay seller for around £17 delivered!

If hèard great things about that. I'm trying to find it on the Lush app with no luck. Is it a shampoo, a conditioner, or a treatment?

It's a shampoo, I use Veganese conditioner with it sometimes but now I have short hair it doesn't always need the conditioner.

OP you need to clarify your hair. Sounds like your hair has a build up of product. When it gets to this stage 'normal' shampoos just don't seem to shift the build up sufficiently. Have a look for clarifying shampoos. Or google 'cider vinegar shampoo' which is cheap but very effective.

I have done in the past, these days I'm much too lazy so I just buy clarifying shampoo.

Alternate between a clear and creamy shampoo, otherwise you get a build up.
