Samuel's idea was bad, really bad. So bad in fact nobody had any idea of what they were promoting. Grainne called him out on it, he wouldn't listen and blocked her out.
So in the boardroom she had every right to defend herself when he brought her back - which was unbelievable as according to the edit she didn't have any input into the task as he shut her down. I was willing them to lose so Samuel would go. I've disliked him ever since the sweets task when he went all rogue on selling the sweets and argued with Alana, even though she was PM. |

Can't stand her. Argumentative, negative and full of crap. She loves to bitch and complain but doesn't offer any alternative suggestions. Hearing her complain about not being listened to was rich considering how she repeatedly dismissed Mukai's (sensible) suggestion last week. It's not as though she's done anything truly impressive to justify her attitude either.
That's not to excuse Samuel for his errors because he certainly wasn't great, but he handled things in a much classier manner than she did this week or last. |

Samuel's team won the task so he didn't bring anyone back in the boardroom. Shows how much Grainne was in attack mode right there. I would understand her actions in the boardroom if they had lost the task and her place was on the line but this was before they had even been told the results.
She's well within her rights though - I'm sure LS had asked if Samuel was a good PM and she said No and the reasons as to why. If I was in that competition and I'd been shut down as much as the edit showed I would certainly be saying this in the boardroom too. It was a creative task and you could see the two PM's behaving in entirely different ways. JD wanted his team to have input and Samuel didn't. It was his idea (which was bloody terrible with the people at Waterloo) and these are all businesspeople, of course they'll call people out when they make them look stupid. |

Sorry, that's my mistake, shows how much attention I was paying!

Also, I wouldn't use JD's non-existent management styles to make a point . JD wanted his team to have input because he didn't have any himself. Just saying "relax" and "I trust them" is not being a PM.

I'm surprised she's getting so much slack on here to be honest. I'd say she's one of the strongest candidates this year (although that's not saying much). She probably could have laid off Samuel a bit in the boardroom, but she was clearly frustrated that he hadn't listened to her once throughout the task. And although we didn't see her coming up with any alternative ideas, she could still see that Samuel's was terrible. The fact that she could see that, and he couldn't, makes her an instantly stronger candidate in my eyes.

I agreed with her. Samuel really wasn't listening to her or taking on board anything she said.
I would have been even worse than her about it. |
