LOL no one will say she's taking a break. This departure has been rumoured for ages and will shock no one. I doubt anyone will be sad to see the back of Caz. The actress was pretty bad too.

Great to see the back of her, even among so many lousy actors she stands out as being really appalling.

Sorry to disappoint you but Kate Oates has said all along that the Caz stuff was only a chapter in a bigger storyline with Maria, Aidan & Eva, though i guess if you want to view it that way each epidode that passes is nearer to the end of it!!!

Well I for one am really enjoying it, Maria and Aidan have great chemistry and Caz is good at playing deranged.

It's inevitable the character will leave anyway at some point (either by being killed off, going to prison, running way etc.) because of the direction they have taken her in.

This story must run its course before long. Likely timing for Caz's final scenes should be around the time when

But that doesn't mean they are one and the same thing. You could like the fact that Aiden and Maria are going to get together, whilst hating the bit about Caz trying to destroy Maria's life. Surely they are separate s/l's.

How long ago did Kate Oates say that though? Isn't this the bigger story line she was referring to, it started months ago and is clearly just paving the way for Maria and Aidan to get together - once that's happened, bye bye Caz.

To the best of my knowledge no one has said yet that yhey actually do get together at the end of it!! All we know for certain is that Eva unwittingly pushes them together next week & that she will be fuming when she discovers the truth!! That could just be about the one nighter though!!

As I recall KO's exact words were "this storyline is all about testing Maria" or something to that effect!!
