Kicking off the top 40 is BB12's Faye who takes a big climb back to reclaim her top 40 spot. She once again ranks 3rd for the BB12 crew behind Harry and Aaron. Faye had a slightly tough time when in the house; becoming one of many to fall under Aaron's spell and then her sister coming in to ruin her fun. She lasted until a week before the final when for some silly reason she lost out in a vote to save against dull Louise?!

It feels like this section of results has been BB12 chocker block as Aaron continues the top 40 by taking a small climb. Last year he dropped from being the top ranked BB12 housemates and remains behind Harry this year. He also remains as the 8th highest winner with Jason still to rank as a new entry and Nadia dropping below him. Aaron pretty much had BB12 in the bag from the first week and not really helped by Mark exiting who was relatively popular and I think may have given Aaron more of a run for his money.

My favourite HM of BB12. The booing was bloody ridiculous, as was the treatment on BOTS, in particular by a drunk Kerry Katona. I guess it began with the VT which was skewed to a "bitch" persona and stemmed from there. Maisy never got any credit for her propping up of Faye in her wobblier moments, even to the point on one occasion of slapping her face to bring her out of it. For a couple of years now she's gone by the name Jamey May (for acting purposes, I guess): https://twitter.com/Jamey_May/with_replies A bitching-free Twitter and a real sweetheart.

Faye was a bag of nerves long before Jemma arrived.

Next up Joel stays static in the rankings and retains his top 40 position and also retains being the highest ranked BB16 HM (by quite a way). BB16 becomes the third series to be out of this years rankings... actually better than last year where it was 2nd all out. I really liked Joel as a HM and I didn't know what to make of him to begin with, but I liked the fact that he was opinionated, stuck to his guns and had a dry sense of humour. It was a shame to see him lose out to Chloe in the final vote as he bought way more to that series than she did.

I think people are usually surprised with how well Imogen does on this year on year, but its consistency is what wins through here and Imogen rarely features in the lower regions of peoples rankings so helps to push her up overall.

Next BB3's Spencer climbs back up the rankings and into the top 40 once again. Spencer was a good HM and very easy on the eye, but it was right that he went over Alex, as I think Alex added so much to the house over the entire series. I think Spencer was good when he was there, but I get the feeling he would have got quite bored with it all, had he stayed, he was gorgoeus though, very Tom Hardyish, as was Alex too! Definitely the battle of the most handsome BB males imo!

Never been a fan of Ray. I thought his heart was in the right place but he could express himself so poorly. I think he's probably matured now he's in his late 30's. But then I saw one of his tweets in reaction to a certain result that took place a few months back (dun dun dun!) and those toys were all over that floor. Rational debate is one thing but this was more of a temper tantrum.


Aww sad about the drop. Nadia's win is perhaps the defining moment of the show for me. It felt like a huge event full of positivity and acceptance.
I gave her her highest ranking, though with 11 top ten rankings perhaps I'm not the only person to rank her at 2.


I like to call him Mr Headache. With the middle name Givesmea.


On paper he sounds like a nightmare, but he had alot of unexpected sides to him. Mature and set in his ways in some respects, but young and naive in others. You didn't quite know what you were going to get.

Dear God yes. I can understand that not everyone would like Joel, and that people sometimes vote for a least-worst person to win. But Chloe was a rubbish winner - she probably wouldn't be remembered much if she hadn't won it and was pretty obnoxious to boot. It's good that she languishes over 100 places below Joel in the region of Gos and Louise Cliffe.

Joel was a unique HM. I don't share his politics, but it was nice to have someone genuinely interested in the subject (beyond something shouty about immigration or declaring that whatever postal workers get paid it's too much). He could be witty and his dancing was ...memorable.

I thought that she would be ranked higher than this. Then again, I thought that she would have come better than 6th place in the final.

I loved Jayne and always did do since Day 1. She came across as the nicest and most normal of the Others right from the start. She was a genuinely nice person who was also entertaining with her Diary Room moments, whether they be rants or not. Unlike some other people who try and copy Nikki Grahame, it was clear that she wasn't copying her.


That was me. I was gutted when she was evicted. She was so entertaining to watch and she was a genuinely good-hearted person.

IIRC, not long before Davina told her to say her goodbyes to everyone, she started getting upset, worrying that the crowd would boo her. The camera then cut to Davina who asked the crowd not to boo her. That would never happen today.


Had he not been involved in it, I think he'd be ranked lower, which is where he should be. To me, it feels like he gets a high ranking on here because he went against two other HMs who were considered "boring". Away from this, he was patronising and wouldn't stop going on and on about what he thought BB was really planning. He seemed desperate to have the house share the same opinion as him. And there was his petty vendetta against Callum, which only started because he nominated him face to face.


I never got what all the fuss was about with Spencer. The only positive comments that I can remember from back then were comments about him being really good-looking.

Joel, Jade and yes Marc were the only people who were in BB16 IMO. Everyone else was terrible. I don't even think I should count those others as hms.

I see that as ridiculous excuse-making for one of the worst HMs there's ever been. No, there are no respects in which she is better than a "default" winner.

Where did people get the pernicious idea that malevolence is better than being a reasonable, generally nice person? That's what default winners are, after all. They win because they're ok and the others are worse. Sam Evans was certainly a far more deserving winner than Helen.

And so what if she "said her mind" (if she even did), given what came out of it?

I can understand why people have her low down in the rankings, but I think it's wrong for her to be this low.

I'm not sure why Daley is so far down. He did some things that were wrong, but he didn't seem to be a generally nasty person. I think there have been many worse HMs.

I'm not sure why Marco was so widely and so strongly disliked. It was because of the weakness of other HMs that he was able to dominate the show while he was there.
