In Chanelle's defence (not that I liked her), she was very young & naive, slimy played on that. She was hard work tho', I'll give you that!
Oh I agree. She was high maintenance personified but naive and damaged.
She was about 19 and he was about 27-28 iirc and a hell of a lot more experienced than her. He used her vulnerability to play games with her and she bit every time.

As far as I can remember, Carole was really unpopular with the public, apart from the first few weeks, when she was up a few times but always saved. I'm sure she would've been evicted if she'd been up or if they hadn't manipulated the guru task, when she got nearly 50% of the vote from the 6 HMs that were up.

Ma Baker was perceived by a lot of the public as a kindly older woman, always there with a shoulder to cry on, always ready with a pot of grey boiled basic brand mince (which had been cooked for hours). Always up for a laugh, leaping into the shower naked with Ziggy........oh how we laughed! Always there with her bucketful of condoms to dole out when she saw fit!
She was also protected when she was evicted by going out with Jonty!

A lot of people who only watched the HL shows couldn't believe the shenanigans of her, which we saw on the live feed, & thought some of us were being really mean about this ''kindly woman''!

Indeed. At least he had a very minor career in music. These days, someone he once shagged in an alleyway would probably make the cut as being famous enough

I don't actually think any of the nasty stuff she did constantly was ever shown on the highlight shows! The producers had their work cut out looking for good things to show!

Succinctly put!

I've bookmarked that for later, to enrage me again of how much that mad old trout was protected time & time again by the production time! My blood pressure is guaranteed to rise dramatically as I remember her heinous crimes.

I know you don't like her Scots - many don't.

But hardly that.

Had a sense of humour bypass this morning? Clearly it was a tongue in cheek remark!

I know she was awful and thanks to DS (other BB fan forums are available) and live feed, most if us knew she was awful. So why did they feel the need to manipulate the viewers so much? Was she brainwashing the production team, like she was manipulating the HMs, by controlling the food and telling sob stories?
Maybe they thought it would be a great media story about the poor old woman who saved her house. I wonder if their failure to engineer her win, encouraged them to cut back on live feed.

good to see that the thread has got around to slating the detestable Carole, nothing like reliving my seething resentment from a decade ago on a quiet Thursday

Carole was an odd one...she was obsessed with Ziggy but took a weird instant dislike to poor Nikki who did nothing to her.

I just found out he's only 35.

I thought he was in his 40s when he was on BB.

Never at my best in the morning - or any time come to think about it.

But relieved to hear your comments because I do know that you will not be sending her a Christmas Card.

You might have been better to make a dedicated thread on just that because then the world is your oyster as only like minded people would respond.

And people like me - who neither likes nor dislike her - would intrude.

I have no idea why the production team protected her, it's bizarre to me. She was such an odious person. Quite why they would have wanted her to win BB is beyond any comprehension!

You got that one right anyway.
