1. Ed, Rob and Greg - all complete non dancers, all turning in 'respectable' routines, without any great mistakes or mis-steps and their partners (for the most part) giving them proper steps without too much filler. Well done.
2. The height difference between AJ and Claudia ruins the lines of some of the dances for me - her paso shaping just didn't work for me. Sorry - and I realise that that's no one's fault.
3. Ore's salsa was poor.
4. Laura's samba was poor.
5. Danny's jive was A-MAZ-ING. No one else could have done that routine. Yes, he's a ringer, but so great to watch.

1. Argentine Tango when it has the red/black colouring and set with perfect music, is just pure sex.
2. So proud of Greg, a true underdog fighting for his place and I'm so pleased the public are behind him.
3. Laura seemed to be in pain and that made her Samba look sloppy.
4. Danny's brilliant, but I don't feel the need to focus when he is dancing because he is too good and will win. Zzzzz
5. Claudia is a brilliant little dancer but AJ is too much of a show pony.

1. Tess's blue trouser suit thingy - eek!
2. Sadly, I have to agree that Laura was not at all good this week.
3. Claudia is really, really good! She put in the work technically, and she enjoys herself, too.
4. Yay, Daisy! Please let her be safe from the dance off!
5. Can't decide who I would put in the dance off this week?

1 Louise was absolutely brilliant! First dance this series I've gotten goosebumps over
2 Daisy really doesn't deserve to be in the bottom two this week, she was lovely to watch
3 Judge Rinder is getting much better and I can see him going further than I originally thought now!
4 I'm still waiting for "WOW" moments from Daisy, Ore and Claudia. I'm sure they can.
5 I think we'll be saying goodbye to Laura this week

1. I think bringing Chas and Dave on to sing Rabbit was a nod to Laura. She also forces the dances too much.
2. Ore is starting to show a few deficiencies.
3. Danny getting better again.
4. As others pointed out Claudia's music was awful.
5. Ed was good as was Rinder, Louise was great but boring. Can't remember Greg.

Thoughts on contestants for week 7 (in alphabetical order):

Daisy & Aljaz - nice to see a smiling Daisy resurrect the colorful fruit stands and vibrant flowers to life, and thought for a brief moment they were dancing in a real, time period market square. The light skipping touches near the judges table and residual Mary Poppin hints towards the end (Len) added to the nice, whimsical feel. Wished maybe she could've elongated/stretched her neck a bit in hold (Darcy), but it was nice to see how the couple brought the scenery to life and restored a sense of old storybook magic to their Viennese Waltz.

Danny & Oti - thought he looked in his element, and that the vintage pool room setting worked well along with Danny's 50's/60's hairdo cuing the jive music. The slide at the top, fun times with stop'n go/checks, and his meltdown when the piano keys caught fire midway were nice scenes to watch over with a classic milkshake. Would've been nice to see a series of outrageous, still poses one after another in the brief music break (0:29-0:32), but thought he enjoyed his moment on the pool table and when descending downwards to leave closing hours on a high.

Louise & Kevin - was captivated peering from afar at her nightly corner under the watchful evening lamppost. Thought each seductive ronde leg sweep throughout revealed her true, veteran wiles, and that she made sure to lean closely to keep the manipulative, emotional connection intact. It was nice to be able to taste the pain of their love helplessly unfolding midway. Liked the improvised leg hooks, wraps and lunges having an air of sophistication and how they spontaneously melted with the lone night table to enhance their fiery passion ten fold.

Ore & Joanne - it was interesting and nice that he brought in an exciting, festive mood to the dance with just his presence alone; thought it was also good that the audience partook to his performance instantly as well. Felt maybe his movement/steps were a bit careful (just a hair) and that it could've been injected with a bit more exuberance and freedom. But thought the dance took off even more as soon as Ore stepped out with Joanne in the side by side section (Craig) and that it was nice to see that salsa attack in the very end.

Best of luck to all the celebs and looking forward to their dances.

1. Oti is the best female pro dancer
2. Brendan doesn't look at all well
3. The Cliftons are genuinely supportive
4. Claudia W's signature makeup looks very dated
5. Rinder could be in the final!

1. daisy dreadful. she should have gone ahead of laura. about the twee-est, most saccharine, most infantile routine i've seen in a long time.

2. danny - my favourite jive this series and last, a genuinely louche quality to it

3. katya is gorgeous and fantastic, and thats the only reason for keeping ed in

4. louise and kevin's AT was inventive and intriguing, despite a few wobbles, good to see another side to her

5. claudia and AJ are better than they get credit for, hampered by dreadful music and patronising attitudes towards them. they aren't children or imbeciles.

cheeky 6 - i didn't even bother to watch greg

1 - Danny's jive was brilliant - but can't understand why they opened the show would have been better as the closing number

2 - Thought Ore was overmarked - that Salsa was a bit of a mess

3 - Louise did justice to the first AT of the year

4 - Felt so happy for Daisy not to be in the DO

5 - When only Ed and Greg were below her I was pretty sure Laura was a goner

5 - Claudia was too I think equal with Greg - but yeah point still stands.

1. Look how much better the show is with decent music and costumes!!!!! Only Claudia and Laura got shafted, and even then if they'd slowed their music down it would have helped.

2. The bits of Quickstep Ed did were a pretty respectable effort, but there wasn't enough quickstep.

3. Everyone upped their game except Laura and Ore, so the dance-off was no shock. Louise was brilliant.

4. Oxsana's dress was stunning.

5. The next three eliminations should be Greg, Ed and Judge Rinder (in that order), then it's all to play for from the rest.

Cheeky 6: well done Claudia for still dancing well despite the horrific music. I still can't warm to AJ though

Thoughts the Tuesday after ...

1. Katya is an inventive choreographer and illustrated e precision of Ed's timing. Ed moved across the floor well, if not fluidly. Amused that their choice of props included a plank of wood!

2. The other QS of the evening fel to another of my favourites, Robert and Oksana. A classy number with variety and speed around the floor but delivered really well by Robert. I think his facial expressions are why people perceive him as a comedy contestant when he's not.

3. Characterful and whimsical VW for Daisy from Aljaz, who was more ecstatic than Daisy at being voted through. Loving their working partnership.

4. I liked Ore's salsa although the lifts did hinder the flow of the dance and I didn't feel the lifts brought anything to the dance. He improved in the DO as well. He does have stiff hips. He mit be able to achieve a figure 8 rotation when concentrating but it does not always translate on the floor. Loved his White trousers!

5. Of the others: Louise achieved a passion that surprised me. Danny's jive was good but did not wow me as I wanted. I was distracted by the music and lurid pink costumes in which AJ and Claudia had been sewn! I'm no long interested in Greg and Natalie is too mahogany this season. Thought Laura did quite well with her samba even with Giovanni's crowd pleasing moments. Found their relationship odd.
