Of course he should stay. He is working hard and taking it seriously and most importantly getting more votes from the public than some of the so called 'better' dancers so imo he has earned his right to be there. We have this debate every year it was Jeremy last year but it always ends up with the best dancers in the final. It would be awful if he bowed to the fact that things aren't playing out how some people want and left.

He was undermarked last night and didnt deserve to be in the bottom 2

Hes improving which is more than some others are doing

Well, at least we know the majority who voted are in favour of him staying a while.

Not really. I was disappointed with how much goofing off was in that quickstep. There was, what, thirty seconds of quickstep? Maybe?

Of course he should stay. He's working very hard, loving the dancing, visibly improving every week and - crucially - getting the public votes. I suspect he's right at, or very near to, the top of the public votes.

I suspect people are voting for Katya as well - she's fabulous. Best new pro in ages!

The great British public love someone like Ed but still have the sense to know when to send him home!
I think Blackpool could be his night to leave?

He CAN dance, or at least he has the past two weeks, and he's entertaining so yes! If JR goes out first, my votes will go to Claudia, Daisy or Ed, or maybe Ore (depending on whom is left).

He is showing improvement. More so than Greg and I actually like Greg.

I am thoroughly enjoying Ed and Katya on Strictly. There are a lot of good celebs this year and the problem is, as we reach halfway, the celebs that started good there isn't noticeable improvements = with Ed there is!

He is what this show should be about - people who haven't been trained in dance at all and who are trying, but with some amusing results. Watching someone like Louise is quite frankly boring, she does it very well but not as well as the professionals so it's just a pointless experience watching her. I enjoy the lower grade contestants much more, but they're always overshadowed on the leaderboard by the actors, presenters and pop stars.

From what Len said, I think he must be doing well in the public vote. I think eventually he'll go though. The public vote is self regulating.

Katya is brilliant. I think she has transcended the role of anonymous pro and shown some real personality and inventiveness.

I voted Yes.

I hope he gets to Blackpool. An 'Act' for a bit of fun as well as great dancers will add to the show.

Yes, he should definitely stay. He is improving every week, and I actually don't think the next best few dancers (Greg for example) are that much better than him.

Yes, otherwise apart from Greg we will start to lose good dancers.

Definately stay. I loved his QS and I love his partnership with Katya.

The producers are trying their best to shoehorn a Komedy Kontestant into the show yet both ED and Rinder (who I suppose were earmarked for that role) are actually ok dancers. I'm loving it

Absolutely! It is hilarious how this is backfiring because they are both trying really hard, and Rob Rinder is actually quite a good dancer.

Voted No but wouldn't mind if he made it to Blackpool. I think if it gets to a point when considerably better dancers start to leave while he is still in it then I would have more of an issue with him.

Ed with with no dance or acting background is exactly what Strictly is about , I hope he stays and continues to improve each week .

Ed Balls are sending people that have lots of problems, and they are bringing those problems to us. They are bringing drugs, and bringing crime, and their rapists.

I have no objection to Ed being there, because after a couple of truly dreadful weeks with his paso and his American Smooth he's perked up again. I do think it's funny that every year the Comedy Contestant backers claim that unlike all of the rest of the Comedy Contestants ever *this* one is really trying. Other than Widdy it's really true of pretty much all of them. There's nothing really unique about Ed Balls over say, Jeremy Vine or Judy Murray or even Chris Parker.

Should Ed stay? Yes, of course, if people want to vote for him.

He doesn't cut an elegant figure on the dance floor, being overweight and having a sizeable 'beer belly', but if you look past that he's actually not a bad dancer. The quickstep isn't an easy dance, and Ed carried it off with credit. He's improving each week, and isn't remotely in the same category (imo) as John Sergeant, Ann Widdecombe or Judy Murray although, of course, his pre-destined role was 'comedy contestant'.

Ability wise, I'd put Ed on a par with Greg - maybe even slightly ahead, as I think his timing and natural rhythm is a little better than Greg's (don't shoot me - I like Greg, and have voted for both him and Ed )
