I've only really just started watching Strictly, and based on last night's performances, I think Ed Balls and Judge Rinder are two very genuine contestants who deserve to stay as long as possible.
Given that some contestants may have been exposed to dance classes or have some previous dance experience in the past, I think Ed and Judge represent the true spirit of the show - of what it is really meant to be about - non-dancers learning how to dance and how to take criticism and improve each week. I found both guys really good and entertaining, I thought they danced really well (I sure couldn't dance like that) and would love them both to stay as long as possible. Kudos to both of them! I also quite like Claudia (she's so tiny!), she seems really nice and humble, not pretentious in any way. Louise is a naturally good dancer. She may have some previous dancing experience, I don't know, but she's very polished, there's no denying that. These 4 would be my favourite 4. But I'd love to see Judge Rinder win - he just looks so ecstatic when he dances - he totally embraces the whole thing. Genuinely happy to dance. Fantastic! |

Ed looked a bit miserable during the results. Too busy getting a grip of his partner, to mouth "thank you" to the viewers who kept him in. Mind you Rinder wasn't much better and Claudia looked totally bemused as if she didn't know what was happening.

People are obviously voting for him so yes, obviously he should stay. To suggest otherwise means he should "do a John Sergeant" and I disagree with that.
That doesn't mean I actually want him to stay though. I'd be more than happy if people would stop voting for him! |

Hilary, Vote Yes (for the EU/Scottish Independence - take your pick) would have given their right/left arm for these statistics (75%).
Could this all be part of the the seemingly dis-enfranchised to try to reclaim their "whatever"? Or is it just another very badly flawed poll? BTW - GO ED!!! |

A. Why should he leave!
B. SCD will not want him to leave they are already down to a three couple final so if Ed left it would become a two couple final, the last thing the show would want after it happening three times before (should have been four if the voting Tom's year had not gone squiffy!). They upped the celeb count purposely to stop that from happening again. |

Personally I think ed/kat will do the same as judy murray and widdecombe....stay until they are voted out. |

Considering that many now consider Ed as being one of the favourites for this year`s title, It would be rather odd for the series to continue without him.

I won't be too bothered now if he goes in the normal way but no one should walk because they are getting too many votes?! It would be a shame if we had a 'shock' exit before him but that wouldn't be his fault.

Yes he should stay, he's there under the same circumstances as everyone else and if people are still voting for him as their favourite then he has every right to remain.

I wish they'd praise Katya for her choreography instead of just going on about entertainment value. She gives him some amazing moves.

That lift at the end more than made up for the lift that wasn't - it was a very impressive end to the routine

The BBC want him off soon, he has served his purpose for them. That music for a salsa was a disgrace.

The lifts were fantastic and I was stunned the judges did not mention them.
It was worth far more than a 4. Undermarking and not pointing out the real positives to that routine means people will vote even more. If they want him gone they ought to mark higher for mid board jeopardy. On another note band did well: I wonder what the Korean speaking populace understood from it.

Ed encompasses what the original idea of SCD was about. Taking celebs and teaching them to dance NOT bigging up stage school/.pop star/ west end star people looking to revive their careers.
I appreciate the good dancing but much prefer to also be entertained, rather than see false modesty - "ooh this is so hard I will never get it" then pulling off a flawless routine. The show is about a JOURNEY (so sorry for the J word) and as often happens those who are good at the start seem to stagnate a bit whilst the likes of Ed and Greg DO improve Anyway rant over am guessing I just want to see Ed stay to at least Blackpool |
