Ed encompasses what the original idea of SCD was about. Taking celebs and teaching them to dance NOT bigging up stage school/.pop star/ west end star people looking to revive their careers.
I appreciate the good dancing but much prefer to also be entertained, rather than see false modesty - "ooh this is so hard I will never get it" then pulling off a flawless routine. The show is about a JOURNEY (so sorry for the J word) and as often happens those who are good at the start seem to stagnate a bit whilst the likes of Ed and Greg DO improve Anyway rant over am guessing I just want to see Ed stay to at least Blackpool ![]() absolutely! And Greg did do better tonight |

The lifts were fantastic and I was stunned the judges did not mention them.
It was worth far more than a 4. Undermarking and not pointing out the real positives to that routine means people will vote even more. If they want him gone they ought to mark higher for mid board jeopardy. On another note band did well: I wonder what the Korean speaking populace understood from it. ![]()

Sick of him now frankly. I get what he represents, and I appreciate his partnership with Katya, but I am tired of him.

I think tonight is the point where I've got properly fed up with him. Yes, I was rolling around with laughter, yes, Katya tries hard to teach him. But it wasn't a salsa, it wasn't close, and for those who cry that Strictly isn't about the dancing but the improvement and learning - he's not even improving in Latin at all. If he only did ballroom dances every week from now on then it'd be fine, but his Latin is shambolic.
I have no doubt he'll get to Blackpool at the expense of yet another better dancer, but that should be it - like Judy Murray, he should bow out gracefully at Blackpool and let the real competition hot up. |
