No wonder you don't know who Danny is if you think he is in Emmerdale! How about Hollyoaks?

I find Danny a lovely young man but a different personality to Jay, who I also warmed to! I am glad they are different. I also gravitate to the best dancers and cannot be doing with the duffers.

I agree with you, and I am surprised that anyone who likes Jay hasn't warmed to Danny, because they both seem to be genuine, likeable young guys, and totally without ego.

Something else they have in common, I had never heard of either of them before they appeared in Strictly, but both of them became an immediate favourite.

Danny to win!

For me, Danny is a fabulous all round dancer and performer. Not perfect by any stretch of the imagination in either ballroom or latin , but he has a fantastic work ethic and puts his heart and soul into each weeks training and the performance on the day. Results speak for themselves.
I enjoyed some of Jays dances, notably the jive and Tango, but believe Danny is the better all rounder in my opinion.

I don't watch that either. We can't help who we are drawn to, sorry.

Jay all the way for me...not only his Jive but his Tango was amazing...

Can't we just focus on this year? I don't remember people constantly bringing up Caroline Flack last year. I loved Jay and if you insist on having a go at Jay to big up Danny and Ore or whoever, it's just going to put me off Danny and Ore.

I don't watch Hollyoaks or Emmerdale (or any other soap) but I do listen to what they say in the original introduction for Danny!

Both my favourite in their respective years and extremely good dancers. They are also very different I have to say that I prefer Danny as he is the better all round dancer and performer. But take nothing away from Jay he is a very talented dancer and both are in my top 5 favourite celebs to appear on Strictly.

To my mind Danny is by far the superior all rounder.
A more consistent excellence across ballroom and latin.
I tipped him to win before the series started properly partly for cynical reasons and partly because he was paired up with the pro I thought would give him the best chance.
He may be considered a 'ringah' but it is not his fault even if such a designation is right or wrong. He was offered a spot in the series and took it as he is quite entitled to do.

I'm afraid I never really took to Jay at all.
The whole series was dominated by one Jive and unfortunately I lost interest in the series as a competition as soon as that dance had finished. I knew the game was up and it mattered not who else did what after that dance. They were never going to beat Jay in a billion years.
To my mind his ballroom was not great and even some of his latin left me rather underwhelmed.

Nice bloke and all that and in many ways came across better to me as a personality than Danny.
But it always has to be about the dancing for me and on that score Danny is comfortably better.

Both pretty amazing considering, despite ringer credentials, it's not their day job. I admire both - great work ethic, ready to put themselves up there to be shot at, showing a lot of talent. I'm glad both have appeared on the show.

Glad to see some Danny love . I like Jay but sometimes in this forum when people compare a previous dancer to him, the dancer in question always falls short .

I still don't think Danny's support is near Jay's levels but the support is there .
