At the moment it is just speculation that both will die based on one article in The Sun - from what has been revealed about their 'demise' I don't believe that they will die that way - if they do then it is a ridiculous way to die and after making EE so much better over recent months SOC will go down in my estimation.

However it is possible that one/both could die in a different way although I'd prefer Ronnie to die over Roxy.

AFAICT the BBC hasn't said that they'll die, only The Sun has. Up to you if you believe them or not.

Don't forget that DTC said that the show will not kill people off lightly in future following the regrets about Kathy, Pat and a few others. Okay DTC is no longer there and SOC may not agree but whether he does or doesn't, the logic still holds true and is very compelling, certainly all the time R&R have family on the Square, killing them off does considerably restrict the options open to the writers in the future. Why would they do that to themselves if they really don't have to and without considering all the options?

Roxy over Ronnie. Ronnie is at least a character. Roxy is a cardboard cut out.

one big con perhaps - remember when Emma Summerhayes died, well, from getting hit to dying, she was in the cast list for all the episodes the following week (my thinking she would survive and reveal) . And Lee at Ronnie´s wedding, red herring ? and when a surprise turns up at the square - always left out of the cast list.

My friend who works there has said it is something to do with bingate. He says Roxy goes on a bender and instead of taking her home, Ronnie leaves her beside a pile of rubbish. The bins get emptied for the first time that month and they have accidentally mistaken Roxy for an old guy fawkes and crushed her in the rubbish.

Ronnie is traumatised and guilty, and has a breakdown. She starts hearing voices and is sure she can hear Roxy's voice from one of the machines in the launderette. Dot, troubled by her terrible eyesight, doesn't see Ronnie so shuts the door and puts her on a boil wash.

Patrick helps Dot when he finds out what happened, they tumble dry her and dump her in the square where she is found by Lee. Lee is so traumatised he throws himself in front of the bin lorry, causing another fortnight of no rubbish collections.

but how can they kill both of them off - leaving two children without a mother !!! a bit too cruel if you ask me. And one of them Dot's great grandchild come to think of it - poor woman. Will be far too cruel. And add to that - during the same weeks probably - a possible suicide and someone else leaving (Linda) although we don't know the "circumstances" yet

There is a lot of uproar about Ronnie's departure but she left EastEnders in '11 and the show didn't suffer from her absence in '11-13. Roxy flourished as a character when Ronnie went to jail, however, I think her return regressed Roxy. I hope Roxy comes back one day and I'd be saddened if the rumours are true she will be killed off.

I rather Roxy survive and control freak sister Ronnie die. Ronnie has always held Roxy back and not given her the chance go grow up and make a life for her own. It's bonwonder Roxy rebels against her. I predict ronnie will provide Phil's liver. I really hope they aren't plabbibg a shock Death for Ben for Phil to get his.
