I like the idea of "I Feel Love" for Saara

I can see Emily doing Sugar Baby Love (The Rubettes) or Sunny (Boney M, works well as a slower version too)
5AM - Celebration (Kool & the Gang)
Saara - I Feel Love could be epic, but I'd also like to see her do Don't Leave Me This Way
Matt will probably be given something really cheesy but super recognisable and fun, Stayin' Alive is a good shout, or even Hot Stuff.
Ryan - Rock Your Baby? Struggling to think of anything for him, this is likely to be the worst possible theme for him.
Sam - can't think of anything for her just now

Honey G - it hardly matters what song she gets

I'd love to see Funkytown in the mix though, such a great tune and would be challehging for anyone to pull off, but I don't know who it would suit best.

Sahara should do my favourite disco song, seeing w she's my favourite

Feels Like I'm In Love by Kelly Marie.

I originally wanted to sing it at boot camp in 2007, in a slowed down, not John Lewis but bluesy style. I decided that it wouldn't work so well acapella. Although obviously Saara would-be know any of that, I reckon she'd do well with a simiar version, starring slow but building up, and she'd have backing music which is pretty crucial on this song.

She could even potentially mash it up a.Bit with I Feel Love - a mashup would suit Disco and the lyrics would fit! I like mashing infIdels Like I'm In Love with Glitterbal by Sigma feat. Ella Henderson but that wouldn't fit the theme, not that the show cares! As long as Saara isn't screwed over or in the bottom 3 again I'm happy!

Still thinking for the others!

Uptempo wouldn't suit her style of singing, as she'll sound same as anyone else. But what she could do is get an uptempo number and slow it down, and split up words as if they don't belong. Something to look forward to.

I'd like Saara to sing Don't Leave Me This Way by Thelma Houston.

Both absolute sacrilege. It's a Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes song, written by the legendary Gamble and Huff. The original version is a vocal masterclass by Teddy at the height of his powers.

The Thelma Houston version is passable but Jimmy Summerville needs to be tried for crimes against music for his car crash of a version. It tops my worst cover versions of all time list with Tina Turners horrendous Lets Stay Together a close second

But then so are all disco songs, good choice

Ryan might be able to do That's The Way I Like It, and although Rapper`s Delight doesn't strike me as disco I've just found it on a list of disco songs, maybe because of its era? They may shoehorn it in for Honey G!

For Matt I was thinking You Should Be Dancing as it's probably a less cheesy/cliche choice than Stayin' Alive. It might work even better for 5 After Midnight though, as they're very focused on choreography. One of Matt and 5AM can do that, the other can don't Dont Stop Til You Get Enough - despite my initial thoughts, I recommend 5AM do the former and Matt the latter, though either would work.

Car Wash for Sam?

Emily has been promising us uptempo for weeks now. I know she gets what she's given but the show is being lazy with her. I might give her Yes Sir I Can Boogie - technically she could slow it down but it wouldn't fit with the lyrics!

Indeed.

Along with Ain't Nobody and Somebody Else's Guy.

Along with a Michael Jackson tune, probably Rock With You.

Along comes Ms Pedant to comment that neither of those are actually disco but the it's XF and I doubt any of the songs will really be genuine fits to the theme
