Ryan might be able to do That's The Way I Like It, and although Rapper`s Delight doesn't strike me as disco I've just found it on a list of disco songs, maybe because of its era? They may shoehorn it in for Honey G!

For Matt I was thinking You Should Be Dancing as it's probably a less cheesy/cliche choice than Stayin' Alive. It might work even better for 5 After Midnight though, as they're very focused on choreography. One of Matt and 5AM can do that, the other can don't Dont Stop Til You Get Enough - despite my initial thoughts, I recommend 5AM do the former and Matt the latter, though either would work.

Car Wash for Sam?

Emily has been promising us uptempo for weeks now. I know she gets what she's given but the show is being lazy with her. I might give her Yes Sir I Can Boogie - technically she could slow it down but it wouldn't fit with the lyrics!

BiB - It'll be because it's based around Chic's Good Times.

Ah that makes sense, and also makes as good an excuseasabtfirthem to give it to Honey!

I can imagine:

Honey G doing the N-Trance version of "if ya think im sexy"

Saara doing Trojan Horse by Luv

Matt doing vocal gymnastics with the BeeGees (great shout from Faria26)

5 After Midnight - And the Beat Goes On (The Whispers)

Matt - Off the Wall (Michael Jackson)
Ryan - Young Hearts Run Free (Candi Staton)

Sam - Don't Leave Me This Way (Thelma Houston version)
Emily - Heart Of Glass (Blondie)

Saara - I Will Survive (Gloria Gaynor)
Honey G - Rapper's Delight (The Sugar Hill Gang)

Exactly, though I do think it's probably not well known enough for the XF to let her do it. They'll probably give her something like Getting' Jiggy Wit It which samples He's The Greatest Dancer

But the backing track to "I feel love "might sound quite weak on the X factor live show?
Sadly I think they will give saara "enough is enough".
And it will be !

Matt Terry: Knock On Wood (Amii Stewart)
Ryan Lawrie: More Than A Woman (Tavares)

Emily Middlemas: Boogie Wonderland (Earth, Wind & Fire)
Samantha Lavery: I'm So Excited (The Pointer Sisters)

5 After Midnight: Disco Inferno (The Trammps)

Honey G: Rapper's Delight (The Sugarhill Gang)
Saara Aalto: Hot Stuff (Donna Summer)

I would put money on Emily doing a slowed down, torturous version of 'I Will Survive' when she should really be doing a slowed down tortuous version of Let No Man Put Asunder by First Choice.

It's a matter of time until she performs 'U Can't Touch This' and to be fair, it'll be a perfect match for her.

I would much rather Sam had Word up as Korn done a brilliant cover of that years ago.

If Sam can sing a Korn version of the song and pull it off she'll join The X Factor greats in my eyes.

5AM - I Found Lovin (Fatback Band) - I'm not sure if that's classed as a disco song or not
Saara - I'm liking the suggestions of her doing Hot Stuff rather than I Feel Love. At least Hot Stuff has more lyrics
Honey G - Stayin Alive (N-Trance version) - good idea or the Steve Walsh version of the previously mentioned I Found Lovin

5 After Midnight - Kung Fu Fighting by Carl Douglas
Emily - I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor (she'll do the Abi Alton version from a few years back)
Honey G - Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? by Rod Stewart”

Brilliant suggestions. I fear these are far too high quality for the X factor production team!
I would love to see Beat the Clock - what an amazing song. It could literally revive Ryan.

I fear they will be unimaginative and someone like saara or Sam will be forced to do a matronly version of enough is enough ...

I can imagine her doing I Found Lovin with the backing singers doing all the work and her just going 'You what, Honey G, you what, Honey G' 400 times and the judges all acting like she's single handedly invented a whole new genre

The problem with the themes is they no longer have to sing them in the style they are meant to be.

So Emily will pick a disco song but it will be sung in a John Lewis style dirge

I Feel Love is a brilliant suggestion for Saara, I would absolutely love that!!

There are quite a few disco influenced recent songs that could use:

Sugar (Maroon 5)
Get Lucky (Daft Punk)
Want To Want Me (Jason DeRulo)
Treasure (Bruno Mars)
Birthday (Katy Perry)
Can't Feel My Face (The Weeknd)

Of course Hung Up by Madonna too, not that any of the acts should attempt such a towering classic bar Saara!

Obviously none of the above will be touched except maybe Get Lucky because to X Factor disco is the same few songs from the 70s to make the acts seem dated.

I could be well off but here goes:

Matt Terry - You Sexy Thing (Hot Chocolate)
Ryan Lawrie - Play That Funky Music (Wild Cherry)
Saara Aalto - Somebody Else's Guy (Jocelyn Brown)
Honey G - Car Wash (Rose Royce)
Emily Middlemas - I Will Survive (Gloria Gaynor)
Sam Lavery - Young Hearts Run Free (Candi Santon)
5 After Midnight - I'm So Excited (The Pointer Sisters)

Thanks.

You're probably right on what they'll give Saara or Sam, although they are probably best equipped to handle such a cliched song in Enough Is Enough.

Saara - I'm so excited.

Not sure if Sam could do also that song, but i prefer not, she probably would ruin the song w/ a slow motion version...

Luke Friend did 'Play That Funky Music'. I'm not sue that would count as disco, but he did a good job.
