She should've went weeks ago she's been in the bottom 2 three times now.

Sad to see her in the bottom 2 again, it really was. What on Earth was that stage production she got AND that song? But she proved yet again in the sing off that she is THE best singer of all the finalists this year.

She could sing all the others, put together, off the stage. She also looked amazing (in the sing off just to clarify, not in the main show!)

I've watched her 'Who You Are' performance more than once and I've rarely done that this series.

She just isnt connecting with the public .I dont mean to be cruel but when youve been in the bottom 3 that many times the majority of people clearly aint interested.I wish the judges would put her out of her misery and send her home.

Her sing off was a different league. Flawless. Poor 4OD! They must have seen the writing on the wall...

If it's her and Sam this week she will be sent home

Is there some software that can judge the caliber of a singer? If so, I think it would be fun to have a computer as a 5th judge just out of interest ... "and the computer says".... and then the judges have to look guilty at sending Gifty home for eg... or Saara next week

Correct.its a singing contest but its also a popularity contest and like it or not outside of DS shes not popular.I dont know her musical background but shed probably do well in the west end.this sort of act just isnt suited to a show like this.

I was really looking forward to her doing Sounds of the Underground, I like the song a lot (not being a huge fan of Girls Aloud in general) but I was horrified by what they made her do with it. It was so... odd. It was like they decided to make it as unappealing and ridiculous as possible. She is always best when she is singing without all the theatrical rubbish.

Having said all that, and while I do think she is the best singer in the competition, there is something slightly cold about her and her voice. At least imho.

to me she just always comes across as a little bit desperate and over-theatrical

she's basically been a professional karaoke singer having done a few different talent shows in europe before this, and i think she doesn't know who she is as a performer, as she has spent so long just doing "stars in their eyes" versions of other people's songs

yes she has a good voice but she has no identity

You need to listen to her 2013 album then, she''s absolutely not a karaoke singer and her stuff is unique and excellent so I think she knows who she is as a performer and it's XF throwing her down the karaoke route. I hope she goes on to big things and her voice oozes vulnerability and quality to me

I don't think Saara sang quuiite at her best in last night's show, maybe because of the pressure of the sing off. Even so though, she fairly distanced herself from Four of Diamonds. Unfortunately, Four of Diamonds never stood a chance against the Lamborghini. Saara's voice, even when under a lot of pressure, is much better than any of the voices from the lasses in Four of Diamonds. She's one of those singers that has a hard to find talent. Her voice is fantastic! She can reach all the high notes with no trouble.

Unless you have insider knowledge of the voting results, then we don't know if she has ever been in the bottom 2.

With the results show getting much better ratings than the performance shows, there's a substantial audience out there who haven't heard any of the remaining contestants except Saara sing!

(sorry, this turned in to a thinking out loud / brain download...)

I don't see why any contestant should be sent home just because they're not popular enough to win (and Saara's not the only contestant in that position), and with Saara I don't think there's any misery to be put out of.

I'm not sure I would have selected her for the live shows (as if it would ever be up to me, ha!) because her appeal is quite narrow.

I think you can see Simon having a "is she right for this show?" moment during her audition whilst Louis and Nicole are entranced, but I think he respects her and genuinely believes she needs the platform (aside from any "how can she make me more money?" stuff).

I can see where are people are coming from with "shrill" and "cold" etc. because her voice is cut glass theatrical (and "unfair" too, her experience advantage is obvious) but I like Saara and I like being able to just enjoy someone singing without having to worry about parts that will make my ears hurt.

However, I can see how her professional sounding vocals might alienate or don't connect with people because they're not that interesting or fashionable (but maybe they're going to become fashionable again).

I think she's in a strange place really; she's much more than a professional karaoke singer or a "stars in their eyes" whatever (she's a fantastic singer), but seems to lack the identity or whatever you call that special thing that makes people with great voices in to stars.

But I'm glad she's on the show (if only, paraphrasing what Simon said at her audition, to show how it's done) and really don't care if any more contestants get sent home instead of her.

I believe this show is doing wonders to her growing as an artist. I agree that she does not (yet) connect perfectly with the audience, but the exposure and mentoring she gets while on this show will surely help her improve greatly in that area.

She already has improved a lot over the course of this series, in my opinion. As a Finn, I remember seeing her ages ago in The Voice, noticing that she's a good singer but is lacking in the charisma section. Never got really interested about her then nor until now with X Factor.

Really glad about what the show has done to her so far. I wouldn't be surprised if she continued to form as a real artist after the show. She certainly has the talent and has finally figured out that you need to be a powerful persona to really hit it off. She's still trying a bit too hard and has a tough time seeming natural (especially when receiving feedback with that fake smile on her face), but I chalk that up to being in such an overwhelming situation.

Thanks!

Wanted to add to my previous post that don't know if everyone realizes, but X Factor UK is a show that has week-on-week more viewers than there are people in the whole of Finland (7M viewers vs a bit under 6M people). The most popular TV shows in Finland reach a bit under 1M viewers, except for a few once a year events that top 1M. Very select few in Finland ever reach audiences over the course of their career like Saara has with the show. So you can only imagine how wild the experience is for her.

Also, some have seemed to misunderstand that Saara is a successful artist in Finland. She has self published a couple of albums, no singles have gotten any radio time in Finland. She's had a few musical roles and exposure from talent shows but hasn't really broken through. This show will now push her to real stardom in Finland with absolute certainty though.

Saara is my Lauren Murray from last year in this series. I can't stand those two. I was surprised that they didn't send it to deadlock. Both acts weren't the first time in the singoff.

That's been axed by the producers according to what I've read.

Saara, I'm not a massive fan, but fair shout she had the best vocal moment last week across the whole series. The vocal run she did at the beginning was outstandingly good for anyone. Very technical and difficult to pull off.

It went to deadlock with Saara and Freddy
