Oh, obviously she has no chance of winning, even though she has whao! vocals. The young lasses will be voting in their masses for Matt, 5 After Midnight and maybe Ryan as well. No matter what song she's given, no matter how good she sings it, she'll not win because of that. It doesn't matter though, making it to the final will be good enough. I think she's bright enough to know that she won't win. Saara would be more suited to West End type performances anyway. She's not suited to pop songs. That Let it Go song she sang is the type that's best suited to her. I have a feeling that Saara will be held back this week with the theme being the 1980s. I can't think of any song that would be best suited to her in this theme. There may be some though.

I think Simon saved her as she''s never been near the bottom with a public vote and brings something to the competition that the others lack, namely a bit of stagecraft and an ability to sing in tune for the whole song

She would surely knock out both Ryan and Sam in a potential sing off though? I'm expecting Saara to get a redemption next week- Big song, purely based on her vocals and a late slot in the running order. Honey G I would guess is about to thrown under the Strictly bus to start derailing her now, and comments will be more lukewarm (You're becoming predictable etc...) I'm hoping Ryan/Honey G and Sam bottom 3 with Saara escaping and Sam knocking out Honey G in the sing off- She''s made the tour now it's time to go imo

She's clearly there for the exposure.

The sing-offs are working in her favor, IMHO.

Everyone else in the T7 has had 5 live show performances. Saara has had 8. That's 3 times where she has gotten to choose a song to represent herself.

Not to mention, the Sunday results shows are getting significantly better ratings than the Saturday performance shows.

No I don't think it is flawed, it's most likely true for a majority of cases. Maybe not all but it's a huge contributor. Same with 4th impact last year when they struggled against terrible acts such as Reggie and Bollie, despite being probably the best group (and even singers) the competition has ever seen.

It's funny though, people claiming Saara seems a 'bit fake' when we have the queen of fake, actress H to the O to the N, E, Y... G in the competition still. Yet she seems to be doing fine in the vote for some bizarre reason.

It does automatically get you a deal, but that in itself doesn't guarantee much - the deal might not be very good, it might involve the label getting a lot of creative control over what you do etc. Placing second or third though might give you more freedom. The winner will be contractually obligated to sign with Syco, runners up can shop around and have more leverage to negotiate their deals, provided that their contracts don't state that they have to sign with Syco if offered. That's a possibility, but I know for a fact that in other countries for Pop Idol that wasn't the case. Contestants have even actively hoped to come second rather than win because of this. I know it's not the same show, but it's close enough the same format, and can well have similar quirks.

Maybe people are more racist than they want to admit? I've read a lot of comments about Saara, and why she is on X Factor UK, since she is from Finalnd. That being said, she does have an amazing voice, and I don't understand why she is constantly in the bottom 3.

There has been no announcement of the bottom 2 this year, only bottom 3. I'm not sure why you are failing to grasp this.

Most likely to allow the judges (or Cowell) to get rid of the other act and not be slated by the public for being unfair. Saara's being used to get rid of acts that Cowell probably doesn't want to go any further. Saara's vocals are obviously fantastic and because of this, Cowell knows that he has the perfect reason to get rid of any act that he doesn't want in the next show. Saara is the perfect weapon for this. Saying this though, Saara's time will come when Cowell has every act that he wants at the end. She'll likely get a song that's really not suited to her and that'll be that. Dermot does say "in no particular order", so it wouldn't surprise me if Saara's fantastic vocals are being used to get rid of acts that he doesn't want in the next show.

When the voting results come out at the end of the series you will see she will have been in the bottom 2 all the time.
