I get the Ed fan base but seriously why is Greg still on the show.

He has had no dance training... .Give me a break. I want a legit reason.

He just seems average every week. Decent at Ballroom and car crash at latin which needs Natalie's tears to get him votes.

Car crash is definitely the expression. I can't believe how overmarked he is.
What are the judges seeing that I'm not? I love Natalie, she is my favourite female pro, but she is working so hard to disguise his flaws.

A legit reason ? Why ? Those who vote for him vote because they want to . Its that simple . They don't owe you an explanation .

Not literally.

I don't understand the fanbase.

He is boring and gives me Gavin Hensen vibes who was voted through long before his time

We know why they vote for him and it's not for his dancing.

Greg seems a really, really nice guy but I don't particularly enjoy watching him dance. I also find Natalie's over investment in him a bit cringy.

He's got paso next week and I hope he might be quite good at it. I love Greg btw.

Sour grapes after tonight's results...it's not a cute look

I like him and voted a couple of times during the first few shows, but he doesn't seem to have improved and isn't interesting to watch compared to the majority of the other dancers.

Think of those left, I'd probably miss him the least, which does surprise me to say as Natalie is one of my faves and before the show I'd pegged him as one of two I'd probably be backing.

I agree . Really nice guy but didn't enjoy his footwork last night plus the vacant look of concentration . Can't make Natalie out this series . She does seem smitten with him .

I keep reading how nice he is and how hard he works. Well they're all nice and they all work blooming hard so what makes him special. He's an Olympian..well so is Claudia. He is now the worst in the competition, in fact Laura, Tameka and even Lesley were better. I can only think it's because he has a nice bum.

IMO I find Greg really likeable and I would rather see both him and Ed stay.

In the grand scheme of things I'd really only say the race for the trophy is most likely between Louise, Danny and Claudia who both seem to have a good following and can deliver. Ore is a good dancer but is marmite, however I can only see the judges saving Danny over him and that's only if Ore is dancing Latin that weekend, anybody else would be toast.

It's likely that Daisy will have Latin next weekend which will probably mean curtains, Ed wants to reach Blackpool just like Judy and Craig Kelly did, once they reached there both of their votes collapsed so I can see Ed leaving then followed by Greg then Rinder

But who knows!

He's a non-dancer who has made an earnest effort and is making progress. Someone who goes beyond expectations can bring more enjoyment than those who cannot.

I can see Greg getting the squeeze next week if the public can't get all three of the "underdog" males through another vote. He's not as good a dancer as Rinder and he doesn't have the comedy appeal of Ed, because Natalie's for the most part played it straight with his choreography, and it's hard to make Buff Sportsman a figure of fun in the way you can "hapless overweight middle aged dad".

I don't get the Gregg love at all, think he'll be going this week

I think that Greg is great, as a long jumper.

I tried to love him as a dancer but he can't cut it. He's that sort of middler that can't quite dance and can't quite entertain.

He should have gone this evening imo.

I'm gutted Laura is gone, but Greg has as much right as any to be there.

Well that and he is probably the worst dancer left in the competition (people will start to notice sometime; he couldn't even have a real breakthrough with a VW!).

The guy who started this thread goes by another name on the Betfair forum, where he boasts about how Greg can't possibly win. He stands to lose a fortune if he does, hence his feeble attempts to drive his odds back out.

I suggest he cuts his losses, and finally accepts what is becoming increasingly obvious with each passing week - ie that Greg & Nat are clearly very, very popular with the voting public (and rightly so!)

The public usually manage to get at least ONE of their favourites to the final (even if it's only their 3rd favourite, as in the case of Flackers...)
So you'd better start praying that it's Claudia and/or Judge Rinder... because they are the only ones who are getting anywhere close to Greg's popularity...

Cheers!

I think Greg gets support for several different reasons -- he's an Olympic champion (the nation supports its Olympians, especially the successful ones), he's handsome without appearing vain (women go for that), he's a hard-working non-dancer (appeals to those who don't like 'ringers'), and Natalie (extremely popular pro who's had her share of duffers).

Had high expectations for this couple pre-series, but sadly it hasn't turned out as I'd hoped. Greg's working hard, but he's just not that good. Natalie's doing a decent job making him look better than he is. Still I feel we've seen the best he has to offer, and Natalie's seeming crush on him is a bit embarrassing.

I've been annoyed at how overmarked Greg has been since week one. i find him utterly utterly dull and a bad dancer who IMHO has improved less than Ed. But obviously a lot of people love him and I'm in a minority. Strictly wouldn't be strictly without these situations!

He's a better dancer than Ed. Ed's routine this week was cute and fun but he danced the whole thing up on his tip-toes and a good 50 to 60 seconds to of it was just him doing slapstick on the spot that had nothing to do with quickstep. Give him Greg's routine and he wouldn't have coped at all. Greg on the other hand could have done what Ed did in his sleep. It just wouldn't have been as funny or charming.

Well, it's also about selling the dance.

Something that Louise has problems with as well.

Difficult to tell who out of Ed/Greg/Rinder will make it the furthest, but if Daisy goes next week then there is a good chance that one of them will make the semi-final.

It might all come down to Blackpool and the luck of the draw (Greg and Ed probably in ballroom, with Rinder probably having the edge in latin). Wouldn't be surprised to see Ed vs. Greg there in the dance off.

Because he entertained this week. Because they got sold a pup the week before with the music they got for the rhumba - their salsa wasn't rubbish (hardly a car crash) and Nat didn't cry when with the ccc. She cried because her chereography got attacked.

I hate stuff like this. By all means defend Ed and anyone else but I hate this vindictive crap. People you like will go, people you don't like with stay. I've been watching since series three and I've learned to suck it up - maybe you could. Just a thought dude.
