That makes a hell of a lot of sense actually. The bookies had Joe Calzage as odds on favourite to win at the start of series seven - this loser should know by now that when it comes to SCD - no one knows anything how it's going to go except that anyone whose a boxer will probably be shit.

I hate stuff like this. By all means defend Ed and anyone else but I hate this vindictive crap. People you like will go, people you don't like with stay. I've been watching since series three and I've learned to suck it up - maybe you could. Just a thought dude.”

I agree with this totally - here here with the last part as well!!

He's attractive. Well mannered. An Olympian. Just guesses. I don't understand the Greg love anymore either.

Not to mention that I've really gone off Natalie this year because of him. I don't know what's going with her when it comes to him 😑😑

A lot of you are forgetting how well Greg comes across in interviews and VTs. No sob stories, self-deprecating (“I’ve got a big bum”) and funny. No tears. He's a breath of fresh air in this type of show, just as he is in his sport. We already know he must be getting more public votes than Daisy or Ore, so it might be that those two are in the next dance-off.

Absolutely - he's funny, charming and lovely Here here!!!

So long as people are voting for him, he deserves his place. And people should vote for him if they like him and want to see him dance again.

As a follower of athletics, I like him. I think he's a nice guy too.

All that said, I find his dancing painful. It's his poor face! Rigid with concentration. Once I saw it, I couldn't unsee it and it ruins everything else he does with the dance for me.

Not for me. Was happy Laura went but can still see Greg is rubbish. Might be a lovely guy and a great athlete but an entertaining dancer he is not.

The final has to be Danny, Louise and Claudia.

Greg, Ed, Daisy, Ore and Rinder to go. Dunno about that order

I've never heard I'm on Betfair?? Please don't make trash up lol

Greg stands no chance of winning BTW. If he is in a final 4 type situation the top 2 would get saved and he'd be booted in the dance off.

I actually feel like that placements matter. Daisy who is a great dancer / Ore who gives it his all deserves to get 5th / 4th. Its a dance competition and we're near top 8!! Come on y'all.

Is that directed at me!

This is ridiculous. I've never insulted anyone on the years I've been on this forum.

Just stating that I don't understand the Greg appeal compared to Ed.

Sheesh.

Saying you don't understand how someone keeps getting voted through is not vindictive.

I've seen more vindictive comments posted on this forum about Daisy / Laura / Ore.

Fair enough

However, I made the point in the spoiler thread this week. I think the longer Ed / Greg stay in the more boring the final weeks become. Its a guaranteed lock for Louise / Danny / Claudia (Or unless she is booted out by a DO, Ore)

Thank you for calling a spade a spade. Now, his case is a classic example of ovary voting. I was guilty myself - not of voting for Greg (I cannot do it), but of rubbing my hands in anticipation of the gorgeous sight: a fit, well-coordinated, ginger athlete next to an equally fit and tall dancing goddess. Then came disappointment after disappointment. Greg is all effort without a result. You know how some people make a difficult routine look easy? Greg is doing the reverse: I feel physically uncomfortable when he dances, he is so awkward. I hope the judges will deliver him from misery and send him packing. His selfies are much better than his cringeworthy dancing.

He's not remotely worse than Ed and the fact that you can glibly claim so without blushing means that your opinion is worth... well you get the drift.

Ed brings entertainment and his dancing improves every week...in fact it was pretty decent this week. He certainly wasn't worse than Greg who admittedly is better with the lifts... but a dancer he's not. Even Ed's posture is better...something he's had to work damn hard at.

Ed may be improving but as a pure dancer he's still not better than Greg. Whatever you say about posture and entertainment he's just... not.

I'm glad they're both still around. Together with Rinder, they're bringing some personality and progression to proceedings. And their partnerships are strong and easy to warm to.

Comparing the two, I think Ed's got more natural rhythm and musicality while Greg's got more stamina, agility and flexibility. They both perform surprisingly well considering their backgrounds but Katya has the advantage of being able to add a comedy twist to Ed's routines which goes down well with the audience - but then so does Greg's arse

Its a good point, we've had five consecutive weeks of females going home and that can't continue when the worse dancers are now all guys so I agree, this weekend he might see the red light.

Also there seems to have been a swing in the DS forums where his support is concerned. Up till last week the majority of posts I saw were in support of him wholeheartedly, but now more and more I'm seeing posts that say something like 'I did support him, but now not so much'. If that's the case out in the big wide world beyond DS his days may well be numbered.

I'd prefer to see Danny, Rinder and Caludia on the final and then I wouldn't mind whichever wins.
Unless Louise ups her game but I doubt she's able to. I'd rather watch someone who expresses his joy of dance that trying to keep herself contained.

I don't agree with them either and if you bothered to look you'll find I've certainly defended Ore.

You were nasty about Will Young too that wasn't called for.

"Nasty" about Will. Sorry but this is ridiculous. I like many made comments criticising him pulling out. He quit because he couldn't hack the pressure. A once in a lifetime opportunity and quit despite his fans paying money to save him after a dreadful Salsa. Unless a family member dies or you become Ill I cannot see any other reason why to pull out.

Regardless, this thread is about Greg constantly surviving the DO despite being IMO average. Not to place me on trail regarding past comments.

It's an indication of form my dear and you have no trouble holding that against people. It's an indicator of a generally nasty attitude and you've posted a few things on the show thread that have made me want to post a two word response where the second word is off.

Vis a vis Will you have no idea what's happening there because it's none of your business but seriously if it was to do the psychological I hope you never become depressed because it's pretty common. Indeed actually the suicide rate of young men is actually utter horrific and people like you probably who won't exactly be sympathetic to those who struggle with those sort of demons probably don't help.

Greg is not in the DO because enough people like what he's doing end of - the fact you don't is down to you. Far be it from me to spoil your fun and those of like minded bitter souls.

Well he got his kid on a sign of desparation for votes, not a good dancer but less of a big head than Ore or Ridder, so he might stay longer.

Time now for a shake up of presenters and judges, fossils Goodman is going he should take Tognioli with him and of course the 2 vacuous presenters.

I really don't care much about Tess either way these days but she's ok in the role she does and I like Claudia. Bruno has his faults and over-marking his pro comprades has been highlighted as one of them but he brings entertainment and on occasions a degree of empathy (something solely lacking around here IMO) to the table.

People have said that changing things in the X-Factor all the time doesn't seem to have helped the show.
