She's nice and all, and not rude or anything, but she comes off very.... robotic, I think. To me anyway. Press the button during the interview, get the right answer with the right inflection. Press the button on Saturday, get just the expected amount of proper dancing. No more, no less.

There's nothing wrong with her, exactly, but there's also nothing especially "right" about her either.

Claudia does some fun dances, but alot of her routines are very kiddy friendly if you know what I mean.

I'd like her to do a routine that felt like it was a bit more adult in content.

I don't think it's Claudia so much as the partnership that doesn't appeal to me, they seem somehow mismatched.
The music they receive to dance to doesn't help either. A classic song might do wonders!

I like Claudia and AJ, but so far none of their dances have been that memorable.
They are good together but I think AJ's youth shows through in each dance they do. He is always trying to show how good he is as well as showing off Claudia but it's his eagerness like a puppy who wants to please his owner that I keep seeing. Bless him, so sweet but too keen to please the judges.

They do have a sort of Disney Channel vibe to them, don't they?

I think she's a lovely dancer and a perfectly normal and likeable young woman. I also like AJ and think they have a really good partnership. They are in my top 3 at the moment.

I think she's brilliant, and I love them as a couple.

But I agree that I wish they'd drop the pop songs and give them some decent music.

I think their showdance would be amazing.

Claudia is a lovely girl and seems very sweet when she is interviewed. She doesn't seem to be driven by being seen as a celebrity which makes a welcome change from some who have appeared over the years. As I said before maybe being paired with AJ has bought some of the criticisms of her to the threads, they have been made out to be' young sweeties on a date night' by some on the show. She seems a level headed young lady who puts her heart and soul into her dancing and gymnastics.
Perhaps because she is disciplined some find her hard to get to know. I know I prefer her approach to SCD than some before her and probably quite a few who will follow her.

I know it's not cool to say, but OUR OLYMPIC HEROES, PRAISE BE AND ALL GLORY TO THE HOY tend to sit right on the corner of dull and weird. Like, sport's fun and OLYMPIC EXCELLENCE, BRITAIN'S GOLD BONANZA, PRAISE BE AND MAY THE SUN FOREVER SHINE ON ENNIS-HILL is impressive but ultimately it's a bit pointless and if you're devoting 16 hours a day of the prime of your life to one niche sport without even the guarantee of a huge stack of cash then you're basically a sexier trainspotter. Pretty much every OLYMPIC HERO, PRAISE BE BOTH NEAR AND FARAH who's been on Strictly has been a blank faced nice enough type who danced pretty well and that was about all you could say about them really. No interesting personalities because in between the 5am starts, the macrobiotic protein diets, the blood doping and the ice baths they never got the chance to develop one.

The exception being, of course, Victoria Pendleton. What a spectacular flaming mess of insanity she was. I was voting for her 10 times every week just to see how wide-eyed and furious she could get and how much she'd spasm at each THIS GIRL from Brendan. Tense viewing of a sort you never really see nowadays, that was. Lovely stuff.

I think she looks great and is doing well with the technique.

She seems to have a very pleasant personality.

I think her performance has been hampered by the music choices. There hasn't been a lot of opportunity to show musicality and to communicate through her dancing just how much she loves it.

So yes, I like her, but am not won over to vote for her and I think that is to a large extent down to the producers rather than the fault of Claudia or AJ.

I have the same problem. Lovely girl, nothing to dislike about her; good dancer...but I just can't connect to her.

I was the same with Rachel Stevens, Louis Smith and others who were greatly loved so I just assume it's my problem not the celeb's.

Claudia and AJ are my favourites. I thought their Halloween week dance was very memorable. It was my favourite dance of the series up until that week. Although Louise and Kevin has just equalled that for me this week.

Ummmmm..... where does Claudia figure in all this outpouring of "something or other"?

Agree but would add the old fashioned 'frocks' that don't reflect the dance or suit her shape are very distracting. The Charleston outfit is the only one that I thought she looked good in.

Yes, her clothes (and music!) do her no favours!

I like Claudia - she comes across well and is improving. My top 3 of the girls. I connect to her more than the other 2.

I find Claudia's no nonsense approach to be very refreshing actually.

She takes all the constructive criticism on board and applies it. There have been no emotional outbursts or "poor little me" moments from her. She's a grafter and seems to be happy for her dancing to speak for itself.

Yes, they're my favourite couple but I do wish someone would have a quiet word with the producers / wardrobe.

I'm prepared to forgive even the pink horrors the pair of them have been lumbered with for their charleston, which I adored every sparkley second of.

I know what you mean. Although I can't warm to AJ at all she seems genuinely nice, but I think perhaps although their dances are technically almost perfect they are forgettable for me. I remember Danny's Cha Cha Cha and Paso, or Rinders QS from this weekend, or even Louise and Kevins Charelston, but I would be hard pressed to remember any of her dances other than that one with the huge glitter ball and I only remember that because of, well, the huge glitter ball <shrugs>
Claudia has forgettable dances as she is almost always given terrible music to dance to so you completely lose the feel of the dance. Danny, Ore and Louise tend to always get given music that is traditional to the dance which makes the dance have more impact imo. There are definite favourites on here based on the music choices given.

I think because she is only 4' 6" tall it's going to be more of a challenge for her to look really elegant when she's in hold, but I think so far she's doing OK.

A colour other than that pukey pink would be nice, though!

I've noticed a lot of anti-feeling on here towards AJ, but I'm not sure why. Yes he's young (yawn) but he's also a very accomplished dancer and the BBC did absolutely the right thing to pair up these two. He has some very exuberant moves up his sleeve and someone with Claudia's gymnastic ability is well suited for some more inventive choreography to come. I'd have thought AJ might appeal not only to teen girls, but also to the mums in the audience, since he's got those clean boyish looks and that radiant Pepsodent smile .. but what do I know, I'm only a bloke!

We all react differently to different people. I cannot take to Louise as a dancer, she is a lovely person but her dancing reminds me of 'paint by number'. yet others raved about her dance this weekend. Just go with the flow ...
that is such an accurate description of Louise and her dancing everything is there and its right but it does just feel, to me, that she is doing the steps - no warmth, no personality..........

I adore Claudia, think she is brilliant and just like Katenutzs, I cannot take to Louise

Just go with the flow

Daisy and Louise cant get any connection from them... Louise bit dry... and daisy, trying to be sweet and teen like... she is a tall big woman... just awkward.

I like Claudia but think they should work on her acting. She comes across as nice and natural but I hate some of the music choices and and the constant pink grisliness. I think most of us can work out they are young without it.
