Well tonight's the night that sees me finishing off the rest of the beef, but I'm intending on staying up late drinking strong lager, so I'll probably get a good nights sleep anyhow.

Tomorrow afternoon sees me tackling a large lamb joint, who knows how that'll affect me?

What lager was it? I'm just trying to recreate this beefy, lagery scene in my head.

Why aren't you taking me seriously??

I normally fall asleep within 15/20 mins, yet because of all the slices of roast beef I ate, it was nearer 90mins before I dropped off.

Surely there must be something to do with the protein in the beef that caused this?

Well, maybe it did not sit well on your stomach and as a result you had difficulties falling asleep. It takes time for red meat to digest and that could cause discmfort and keep you awake longer especially if you had simptomes such as heartburn.

Well last night was a little better thanks to the lager, but I woke up earlier than usual for a Sunday, so somethings still not right. However I've now run out of beef.

Saying that I've really overdone it with the lamb today, I've nearly eat the full bloody thing and am absolutely stuffed.

I'm gonna have a few more lagers now, sod work tomorrow, I'll get in when I get in. Might even have half a lamb sandwich later on.

Thanks. I've got the scene now.

Are you sure that poor excuse for a beer isn't whats keeping you awake?

Can't beat that refreshing pilsner taste

Now back to the meat issue. I slept like a baby after all that lamb yesterday, so if anything it had the opposite effect to the beef.

I feel like I'm on a carnivore's soporific quest of sorts, come the weekend I feel it's time to dabble with a little Game!
