Judge Rinder, "facemaking", and Craig - and being a wet

For Craig to task the the wonderful Judge Rinder with pulling faces, given that the otherwise magnificent Craig pulls a self-regarding gurn when doing his weekly judgly pirouette, is pretty rich. Double standards much?

All the same, Rinder seems to have become a little maudlin, borderline crying etc. In reaction to Craig's facemaking criticism, harping on about "joy" - but perhaps this sort of emotionalism appeals? "Everyone should learn to dance - sob!"

It's not the same because Craig isn't dancing

I'm tending to think Craig is actually trying (generally succeeding) to supress a smile but occasionally there is a little twitch. It is all an act and I think that's understood between them. Come to that Craig's dour sourpuss act in general is just part of the panto.

I think they get on despite the odd spat between them onset

True. Perhaps a single standard after all.

I find the exaggerated 'dance face' extremely offputting regardless of who does it. Susanna Reid used to do my head in with that.

God... all I can remember from his dance... was just the face.
