I'm delighted Melvin will be in the Christmas show. Like the whole line up.

Great line up I really hope Gorka is one of pros and hope he dances with Frankie as they would make a brilliant pairing

I assume they will have a Christmas or pantomime theme?

And the above Sun article confuses Denise Lewis with Denise Richards, so we're off to a great start already. |

I'm predicting Frankie or Pamela to win as they have both been in the final

I'd like Frankie to win but I can see Melvin getting sympathy votes.

But aren't Karen, Janette, Neil and Pasha doing the Children in Need special on the 18th November? Will they do that and the Christmas special?

Feel good to get that out. BTW - Fun kids radio station had a birthday shout out to a seven year chap called Gethin. Any of you lot name your kid after the dude because I know there's another little chap named after his rival who'd be about eight now.

Isn't this the second Christmas strictly special for Gethin? I seem to remember him dancing with Flavia....

He and Camilla danced a waltz and scored an impressive 40 from the judges, tying with Darren Gough who went on to win his second Christmas show glitter ball! |

Yeah how did he wrangle a place on the Xmas special, I don't think any celeb from the current series has ever been on the Christmas show as well!

I will be watching just to get the chance to see Denise Lewis dance again. My favourite celebrity and I have watched from the beginning. It's all a matter of who you like I guess, I didn't watch it last year as the line up didn't appeal to me.

I don't really like the Christmas special. Usually record it and jump through just to see the dance. Not a particularly exciting choice of dancers either. A bit disappointing really. Still interested to know who wins though. Any idea when it's recorded?

Is this the first time they've had former contestants on a Christmas special?
I'm not a fan of the Christmas day show normally because, as far as I remember, they have a load of randoms who, more often than not, don't have a lot of dancing ability and have had a couple of weeks learning a dance. Not really my cup of tea. But this year we've got some really good ex contestants, a few of whom 'wuzrobbed' ( Frankie, Gethin, Denise ) so it should make for must-see Christmas telly. Can't wait! |
